Big Lots

Outstanding service, the employees are always friendly and helpful! There is always a good selection of whatever items I am looking for and the shelves are nicely organized! They carry lots of name brand items so it's a great place to shop for gifts also!

I had the pleasure of working with Erick at the Big Lots furniture department, located at 8960 Tampa Ave, Northridge, CA 91324, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Very low and reasonable prices, all brand name foods snacks,furniture for beginners or newly web's, crafts and toys,kitchen supplies, curtains, just everything great and big 😃 smiles

Parking is not a problem at all.

This place is always neat and organized.

You'll most likely find what you're looking for in there. Perhaps, even your true love. Who knows.

I don't think this place has bathroom, but ask the cashier anyway.

Decent place has all of your typical stuff remember to go after chrismas to pick up any chrimas stuff at discounted prices some of the stuff is pretty good.

From time to time I come to Big Lots to purchase candles. I got my favorite scent, Vanilla. Pretty good size & it usually last a little over a month for me. Only $6.00 + tax. Big Lots is a great place to go to for candles.

Bonus...As I was walking to the cashier, I came across Andy Kapp Hot Fries. I haven't seen Andy Kapp in a while and the Hot Fries reminded me when I was in junior high school. Oh how I miss those days of being a kid. I had to buy a "Big Bag." Ended up sharing it with my brother when I visit him. Of course we reminisce of our childhoods.

Excellent customer service

As in my other reviews for this particular chain of discount stores, I really like Big Lots.
The Northridge Big Lots is a bit nicer. And has a few more of the upscale items I like. I don't get out to this one as much as I do the Van Nuys one.
Overall no matter which one you go to, you won't be disappointed.

So I decided to buy a couch set and was on clearance I was very excited to have it delivered but the day of delivery they called me and said sorry sir but this couch was busted in the back and do you still want it, hmmm I said of course not so I went back in to see about another sectional set… they didn’t have anything so I was approached by Assistant manager Fabiola who made my day, she was very helpful and caring at the same time.

She was able to get me my full refund which was originally made in debit they usually put back on a card but she was able to go above and beyond my expectations and refund me in cash so I could go somewhere else and buy my family and I a new sectional.

This is a continuation of my bad experience at the store near me in Canoga Park but I had to give a separate review because the negative review of one store shouldn't affect the others. After I had a bad experience at the Canoga Park store I went home cause I didn't have my ph with me. I started to look for another Big Lots, the one on tampa came out. I called and a masculine very serious voice on the other side. I proceed to ask for the lights and gave him the description, put me on hold to go the back and ck. He returns and said: we are sold out but if you want the sample I can sell it to you. He offered before I even asked, then he asked for my name and he asked when I could pick it up and whenever I was ready just go to tge store and ask for him and he'll had it ready for me, when I picked up he wa a complete gentleman, he had trouble himself putting it together so he went outside and brought a shopping cart so I wouldn't struggled taking it to the car, while I pay he told me that in the system shows that a store in North Hollywood had many of them but that the system sometimes is inaccurate. He asked me if I wanted him to call the other store but I saw him with a line of customers waiting for a matter to be resolve that I didn't want to take more of his time. He charged me and at rhe same time he gave a discount for being an open box item. Before I got to talk to him, he was busy with another customer and while I waited I went shopping around to look for figurines and notice how different this store was compared to Canoga Park. Everything was in its place, very clean, bigger and better. While I walk through the isles, every now and then an employee asked me if I needed any help at rhe same time I saw other employees helping other customers. And thought to myself "this is the kind of customer service we need at the other store" they made feel good. I'm still wondering why at this store everyone was involved and at the other store they can walk by ys like we don't exist.

Variety of things to choose from. Bigger selection than other stores. Very clean and orderly. Customer service was a bit slow. Three cashiers and a line that slowly moved. Parking is a bit congested as it's in a strip mall.

Very helpful. I completely appreciate items they have.

Thank you Miguel for all of your help in the decision making on bedroom furniture. You were very informative and patient with us. I was very happy with our purchase and my husband with the coupon reminder.

Staff on breaktime saw us, seniors who bought from their store heavy items as case of water, round table and a 11x11 tent, volunteered to help load them into our car.
