Very cool spot to stop. Just don't come for gas unless you want to pay more than anywhere else in the entire US. Aside from that, has very clean and cool spot for food and restrooms.

Didn’t have any candy but I got to meet Georgia, who was attending the gas station, who was a beautiful soul whose kindness was the highlight of my day, and considering Big Sur is my favorite place in the world, that’s saying a lot.

A year ago or so while I was hitch-hiking down south, the gas attendant saw my struggle as I walked into his station in the late hours of the night. He gave me free chocolate bars, a warm smile and offered me to camp in back of the station!

We're in la guy gas is pricey here. But the attendant was very helpful with giving me specific directions

Gas price a little higher than else where but the toilets are quite clean and nearby surroundings are nice.

Very expensive gas. But it's convenient. There is a nice little set of bathrooms just s bit down a pathway. There is also a very beautiful garden just to the side of the station. Worth the stop just to see and smell these plants!! The view of the mountain from here is also very good

I guess most negative reviewers don't understand the cost associated with trucking in fuel to a remote location. Perhaps they believe a magic fairy makes fuel appear out of thin air. Stupid yanks, plan ahead.

Expensive

Let me tell you. This place is adorable. I mean, I might lobby the gas industry to force all gas stations to be this cute. It has a woodsy vibe with logs. Clearly adds to the campsite decor of Big Sur. Besides that, the gas is exorbitantly expensive and borderline price gouging.

After a few minutes of trying to pump gas I gave up and went to the next station

Not only expensive but when I got there they were getting ready to close (not closed yet) and refused me gasoline -- my wife and I had to pull over along U.S. 1 and spend the night. Next morning I paid $20 for just less then 3 gallons... I had no choice as I was on empty and in a van that only got 17 mpg... If you can drive by this place do so -- if not, and you must stop you can tell them I said, "Go Fug Yourself"...

Gas was VERY expensive but I expected that. What I didnt expect was how rude the attendants were. Two guys were "working". One was picking leaves off a tree one by one and staring at them. Another was very annoyed that I asked how much the firewood was, which was TWELVE d**n dollars. Everyone around Big Sur needs a reality check. Hating tourists doesn't pay the bills.
