Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppe Hudson

Very friendly and helpful staff. I dropped a friend off to do some business in the plaza, so I decided to spend my waiting time just wandering around the hospice store. It was packed! I didn't know that there were tour buses that went to various thrift stores! Anyway, I found a holiday decoration that I wanted to purchase. (Great place to shop for vintage holiday decor) However, the checkout line was super long and even with 2 registers open I would've been there for way too long. (I had my own appointment to attend) One of the staff ladies put my item on hold for me until I could return (after my appointment) to make the purchase. Upon my return, after making the purchase, the item was wrapped securely and put in a box to prevent it getting broken. As I said, very friendly and helpful!!! 🤗😊

I’m very happy about my experience. I was expecting to see cheap and possibly worthless item in the 3.00 a bag buckets. To my surprise I purchased quality items for a great price. Thanks

Love this shop. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I drive down from Brooksville a couple times a month.

Been shopping here for about a year the staff is rely nice and talkative you never know what your gonna find some of there stuff is priced high but they have alot of good deals

The employees here at this thrift shop are really quite nice and gave me a great deal on a older camcorder. Very happy with them and very happy they take Discover.

I really can't rate this particular Hospice Thrift store. I've never been there, but ever since 2006 when my father died at home with 24/7 Hospice care, I have donated and even bought some very nice things at a store in Tarpon Springs. I found them to be grateful for the donations when I am the one that will always be indebted to them. On some high ticket items I found that the longer it stays there the more open they are to negotiating. I made a killer deal that way once with an original oil painting. Not to mention I got a pair of very gently worn cowboy boots for $5. The funny thing is I never planned on, nor would I go looking for cowboy boots, but I bought them and loved them. My Boxer liked them even better, he chewed them all to hell. Needless to say I wasn't happy. Just remember those volunteers are there for their own reasons and have bad days like the rest of us. There's more than one of their thrift stores around. Find one you like and stick to it. If you have any problems with anything, you can always politely and diplomatically speak with a manager. Amazing store with amazing prices. Found a 1977 fantasy poster and a handful of great pots and pans! Good variety and friendly staff. A+ experience!

I love the $1.87 bags. I came across a lot of paperback cookbooks copyrighted in the 1960s & 1970s. They are small, one of them was recipes of your Favorite Rock stars with their pics & a story about them. Good stuff & great prices. I love their Angel trinkets they always have in stock!! Name brand purses; I got a Michael West for $4.00. So cute & looked brand new, never been used!!

My husband and I go weekly to the store. Found real interesting items which brought back memories.

After reading the comments few things to say...

Overall when you go shopping at a place who gives to a charity called Gulfside Hospice remember they're taking care of someone love ones you might know needs the care. ( medical keeps going up)

Do not forget majority of the workers around 95% are volunteers. They give up their times to help a charity close to their heart. So if they are cranky a little smile or hello go along way. Imagine volunteering not being respected for what your doing.

Great place to browse and shop.

Good deals to be had, you just have to look. Less busy early in the week. Staff is always nice.

They must be angels sent from God to run this lovely place. They sold me a personal Mobility device that will give me a few more months with my legs :-) God bless all of them especially the cute one that runs the place ! Thanks for a great deal!!

This shop has been renovated & is much brighter. It's well organized. The prices are reasonable, & the staff members are very friendly.

Always overflowing with merchandise. Make sure to get a bag from inside for front sidewalk savings. Ask for a book savings card to get stamps on.
