Askins Creek Store

Gas prices are comparable to others on the island, store has a lil bit of everything and the staff are incredibly nice and friendly!

The lady Michelle is a great lady. This was my first stop every morning for my coffee and cake. Always a smile and very nice. Can't wait to come back down and this will definitely be my first stop in the morning. Thanks Michelle for making my mornings.

While passing through this beautiful area, I stopped here to fill up and get a quick carwash. A couple of weeks later, I was reviewing my bank statement and noticed I got charged twice for the carwash. I called to request a refund and not only did I receive a check within a week, but also a courtesy wash for my next visit to the area, which I plan to do sooner than later. Thanks Buck, Dolores, and Riley!

Very nice convenient shop. Clean and the staff are extremely welcoming.

We affectionately call this The Hundred Dollar Store because they have really nice kitschy souvenirs you have to have and a great selection of t-shirts.
The staff (minus one lady; she seems bothered) is friendly and fast.

Free air up station, car vacumns for $.75 per 4 minutes, and a great car wash, the best wash of two south of Nags Head.

Has convenience store with gift shop too.

The woman working the front desk was very helpful and we had a great couple of minutes joking around.

Outside you can fuel up your car, clean out the sand and wash off the salt. Inside you can fuel up your soul. Good for quick beach snacks and drinks in the convenience store. Good selection of shirts and other beach wear. I like to stop and see what unique sweatshirts they have here.

This is the last stop in Avon before you go depart for Hatteras island. They have a little bit of everything in this store from beach supplies, souvenirs, a small deli, gas and I'm pretty sure the only car wash on the island. They also have a small amount of bait & tackle and you can also get a fishing license here.
