What a wonderful shop! We have visited Medicine Park so many times and had never seen this delightful establishment. The toys and books are amazing and we wish we lived closer to be able to participate in many of the educational workshops they offer. The proprietor is a kind and compassionate man and I highly recommend this shop!

Truly a most wonderful place. We love visiting Discovery Outpost as often as we can. Kind and knowledgeable staff and owners. Love their books! It's so hard going in without picking up a fun educational product for the kids or anyone in the family, young or old. A must stop for anyone going through Medicine Park! Can't wait til my next visit!

Discovery Outpost was one of the first places we discovered when we moved to the area and we are so grateful that we found it. It is a wonderful store with books, toys, homeschool resources, science and art activities, and so much more. The classes they offer for kids are one of a kind and my son loves them. They have a great children’s literature section with high quality books. Most importantly, the store is owned by a family who puts their heart and soul into it, and it shows.

I love this book/toy store! They have such a great variety of classic toys. The owners are amazing people who make everyone feel like they are family! Oh and did I mention they have books that teach creation science, how awesome is that! I think anyone would thoroughly enjoy spending time at discovery outpost and don’t forget to ask about the funventures!

Did our first class there today and loved it. Was very well taught for young kids to understand with excellent fun craft to go with the lesson! Will definitely be going back!

What a wonderfully delightful place filled with every gift idea possible to entertain and build imaginations. Books, crafts, science, history, sensory play, and treasures you can’t find elsewhere in the area. A fantastic bonus is their talented staff in their efforts to reach into the community to provide fine arts with their theater and piano training as well as bible classes for youth. Their fun ventures are such a treat for our family, too! A cost-manageable class for my children they wouldn’t get outside of a screen if it weren’t for DO. You need to frequent this establishment as well as like them on social media to keep up with they’re offering.

I can't say enough good things about Discovery Outpost & the lovely family who own it. We have had many wonderful experiences while visiting this store. I love that they share their values & knowledge with those who ask. It's definitely one of my favorite Medicine Park shops.

Discovery Outpost is such a gift to our community! Selling books, unique gifts and toys, this store is a gem in the heart of Medicine Park. It also offers classes for kids about science, theater and music. This family business is so great and always earns our support!

This is the place!!! As a homeschool family we found amazing curriculum, supplements to our education, and they even held classes! Robust content, community engagement through their theater program, and so much more! So blessed to have them in our community!

My family loves Discovery Outpost! You want fun, imaginative toys? They got it! You want awesome, Godly, fun, books? They got it! You want curriculum that will grab your kids and take them on a journey of learning? They got it! You want fun classes that your kids beg to join in on, where they learn about God's creation and have a fantastic time doing it? They got it! We love this awesome family and store, we look forward to every week, when get to go out to Medicine Park and support this wonderful store.

Wow! I ran into the owner at a community event and took the kids to see The Discovery Outpost that weekend. There is so much to find there. The children had a great time and we had to practice putting items back since they wanted every science thing, book and discovery set in the store. After we finish working our way through our initial haul we will absolutely be returning to see what new adventures the discovery outpost has in store. Side note: the owner was very accommodating and was as excited to show us the neat things in front of us as we were to see them. Very sweet people.

We had our first visit to Discovery Outpost during a city wide event 2 weeks ago, and decided to attend one of their Funventure classes. Not only were the owners awesome, we met and wandered the town with another family we met at class... also awesome! We will be back for more Funventures, and to grab some wonderful homeschool books which they carry in the shop.

I dropped in this store because I love books and it had a certain charm. As I began talking to the owner, he mentioned that he was a Christian and that the business had many faith-based items for sale. I replied that I too was a Christian and we had a wonderful chat about some differences in opinion. With that being said, he allowed me to have a book regarding traditional creationism free of charge because he was so passionate about the subject. If you go to Discovery Outpost, don’t expect a free book. But DO expect a friendly owner that is passionate about his business and his beliefs. I will be shopping in Discovery Outpost anytime I go to Medicine Park!

Such a cute little shop. The gentleman working in there was very kind with my kiddos in there. His sharing about the items we were interested in was apart of the adventure.

Awesome shop, kids loved it! Lots of really neat toys and games, stuff you don't see everyday, was really nostalgic for the wife and I and our kids wanted to but everything! The owners are really great people as well, I highly recommend stopping by!

Wonderful store! Love the effort made to create a magical environment filled with ephemera and unique treasures for kids. The highlight of our day in this beautiful town were our two visits to the Discovery Outpost.
