This is a great place. I talk with the staff often. They have given very helpful advice about my instrument care (my clarinet and my guitar). Everyone I have spoke with is very knowledgeable about music too.

I take guitar lessons with Frank here and participate in the adult jam band. I have improved a lot thanks to Frank and I am often inspired by my band mates. I never feel bad or nervous when playing. Everyone is very encouraging. I would recommend coming here for your music needs.

Melody Mart has been a landmark in Homewood for generations! They focus on music and musicians to ensure happy learners. My kids have been students at MM for a while, and both DK and Jordan are amazing teachers who pass along their passion and love of music. Check them out!!

I wanted to write a review on how amazing my daughter Asia's flute tutor/instructor at Melody Mart has been. Asia has been attending private flute lessons at Melody Mart with Esperanza Salgado since May 2023. Asia was at the end of 7th grade when she started and she really wanted to improve her playing skills to prepare her for future competitions & being one of the best flutists when she entered high school. Esperanza has been amazing with Asia and has taken the time to give her individualized attention in music instruction to help Asia have an amazing 8th grade year. Esperanza is very passionate about music and her and Asia have a great relationship. Asia absolutely loves coming to work with Esperanza and feels that taking music lessons has truly helped developed her musical skills as she is winning every competition that she enters after working extremely hard and practicing all that she is being taught. Asia has competed for her current position as Principal player/1st chair at Columbia Central Middle School and for the last trimester of her eighth grade year, she just learned that she will remain in 1st chair as her skills truly have shown her to be the best. Asia also had a major goal of qualifying to be in the ILMEA for eighth grade as she did not make it in 7th grade. With Esperanza expert teaching methods and Asia's hard work/talents, Asia was one of the only students who was able to play with the Illinois Music Education Association Orchestra in concert. This was an amazing & humbling experience as she was able to play with the best band/music students in the state of Illinois. Asia also recently competed in Solo & Ensemble and she received a Grade 1 for her solo & the trio that she participated in. We are so excited about everything that Asia is accomplishing and definitely owe a great deal to the expertise of Esperanza with taking the time to help mold Asia into the best. We are also truly thankful for the Flute Ensemble that Esperanza created and has showcased the talents of the flute players in concerts at Melody Mart. Thanks so much Esperanza & Melody Mart! Asia looks forward to continued greatness in the future.

Jim is a down to earth friendly manager who has great customer service skills, and his store has great deals ☺!!! He has everything you need if you are a music teacher or musician. If he doesn't, he can order it from his catalog. If you are near the south suburbs of Chicago, IL you have tp stop by 😄!

This shop is always there when we need them. Pulling out all the stops to help us with repairs and adjustments. Great service is their trademark. Friendly and respectful. We get all our instruments here. Thanks for getting us ready for competition on short notice.

Friendly people, very professional and very very great & fast service. My son trumpet fell and was so banged up I just knew it was a trash, took it in to Melody Mart and it was fixed in less than a day, turned out to look almost new, myself or my son couldn't believe the great work that was done to bring his trumpet back to life. Melody Mart will always be our go to place.

Great instructors, helpful staff, awesome community. They always have something new going on so you can't stop in just once. All in all, it's a great local place to take lessons and find competitively priced equipment and instruments.

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of instruments. The instructors are the best and great for beginners or if you have been playing for years. Very affordable lessons and conveniently located in downtown Homewood with plenty of parking around.

Melody Mart is an amazing, small local music business store in Homewood, IL. They do repairs, sell equipment, and have lessons. I've taken guitar and vocal lessons there. Both teachers were amazing to work with. Highly recommended!

I had my old guitar set up at Melody Mart after not having played it in over 5 years. They got it done in a few days (even with the holiday) and it has never played better! The cost was well below what guitar center charges for a setup and the staff was very friendly. I will be back!

Friendly and helpful staff very knowledgeable prices are competitive. Love them been going to this store for 2 generations. My wife took lessons here and now our kids do as well. Friendly family atmosphere where they encourage every to achieve greatness.

Great customer service! I messed up my guitar trying to string it myself for the first time. I don’t know who at Melody Mart serviced it since my husband was the one who brought it in, but the man adjusted it free of charge!

Melody mart is a great place for all musicians. If you're just starting out are you been playing for years they will have everything you need. If you're looking for lessons they have many different teachers in different areas of music. Looking for a quipment from: DRUMS, GUITAR, BASS, whatever instrument you are looking for they will have it. Prices are well match with other competitors. So if you are in 708,815,312 area code and looking to get into music you should go check them out.

Brought my violin in. Their worker thoroughly reviewed the issues and made adjustments on the spot for free and suggested I didn’t actually need any work done on it. Appreciate the integrity and expertise.

This establishment continues to wow me! My children attended for lessons as well as for their instructment and accessories. Now their children,
