Talking about the Woodward Road store, Melissa is great. Makes shopping a pleasant experience, not druggery.

Didn't realize that this post applies to multiple CVS'.

The staff at the Twin Rivers (629 Abington Drive) location, starting with Wayne the pharmacist, Indira, the other pharmacist, the rest of the pharmacy staff, and the store staff (Geo in particular) are always there to help you.

I agree with posts about the Applegarth (Monroe) location. Need to de-staff this location and hire some people who care about others. Sensitivity training would also help.

Great pharmacy! All the staff members are so friendly and helpful. My insurance wouldn't cover the medication asking for a prior authorization, and the pharmacists went above and beyond to make my insurance cover it. They reached out to the doctor for me kept me informed of what was happening every step of the way, and after much arguments with the insurance company, it finally went through! This is my number 1 pharmacy and highly recommended it to anyone who wants personal attention!

That place is always so organized and clean.. they always have sale items in stock, and in rare occasions that they don't, they are always willing to substitute for a similar brand in stock. Def my favorite cvs by far

There are one or two workers in the pharmacy that are nice and actually seem to care about their customers but there is one worker that consistently has the worst attitude I have ever come across when dealing with someone in a customer centric role. She always makes you feel like she is annoyed and can’t be bothered with your questions. A very “figure it out” attitude. Ugh! The worst! I wish I had another pharmacy closer to my home. Many times I’m willing to take the trip to Walgreens just to not have to deal with the attitude.

I recently tried using the CVS app to order medications for my mom (who cant drive and is disabled) delivery to my house, thinking it would be smooth sailing.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. I didn't get any notifications on my phone, and even though my mom and I was home all day, we somehow missed the delivery guy. So, I had to make a trip to the store to pick them up.

When I got there, the pharmacist told me that the delivery driver had brought the prescriptions back because nobody answered the door. Fair enough, I asked if I could just grab the prescriptions myself, but when the pharmacist was handing me the medication I was told by a random pharmacy tech that I wasn't "allowed" to take the medications because they were specifically marked for delivery.

I explained to the tech to make sure she understood correctly that the medication was actually in the pharmacy as returned after a failed delivery attempt hence why I was there to pick it up.

She just kept saying they weren't allowed to give me the medications.

????

I was puzzled, so I asked how I was supposed to be able to pick up the prescriptions since the delivery attempt hadn't worked. Its not like I could get them delivered again since the app was showing them as delivered already, which we all knew was wrong because they had my medication there as returned back from the courier.

The tech kept confidently telling me to "call 'them'," but it took me a few times asking who is "them" when I was finally told to "just google the Caremark bin number."

I was confused because I had no idea who Caremark was, and I mentioned that to the tech that I didn't delivery through something called Caremark but the CVS app. She then explained that since I ordered the prescription for delivery on the app, I had to contact Caremark because they were the only ones who could release the medication...okay

After finding a parking spot, I called the Caremark number I found, but guess what? They couldn't assist me because I used the CVS app, not the Caremark prescription delivery service. So, I went back to the pharmacy drive thru while calling CVS customer service for assistance.

During the call, I had to go through the whole story again with the customer service rep, who was just as puzzled as I was. I inquired about the usual procedure, and they mentioned that the pharmacy typically contacts the courier to check on the status of medications for delivery - but since the pharmacy physically had my meds already returned after a failed delivery attempt, they should have just given them to me.

Amazing.

Finally, after asking another tech and explaining all of this again they involved the store manager, who said "Just give her the meds if she is here to pick them up".

Wild.
