Neighborly Books

We found this bookstore while walking around Maryville’s downtown area. There is an array of interesting books, and places to sit as you look through them. There is a Saturday morning outdoor market, gift shop and coffee shop all within walking distance to the bookstore. I was able to help my father navigate around the area in his wheelchair with no problem. The bookstore had a clean bathroom, and the owners are a Christian, former military family. There is also an artist upstairs who paints beautiful oils of scenery in the area.

I love Neighborly Books. They consistently have the best selections, with the small town charm that makes you want to live in a corner of the store and never leave. Highly recommend you spend time finding your next adventure here!

A very nice book store in downtown Maryville. Located in one of the older brick buildings that has been newly refinished. The owner was very helpful and a joy to talk to. She had great advice on a couple of books I purchased. I love supporting local merchants in a day in time when it can be all too easy to order online. I will definitely be back.

I absolutely love this bookstore! I see something new every time I walk in, and I appreciate the homey feel. The store owner is very friendly and helpful and can also order books for you if you don't find what you're looking for on the shelves. Can't recommend enough! Please support local business!

First of all, the store is absolutely a dream. Exactly what I imagine in my mind for a beautiful, inviting and cozy book store. Beautiful inside and out. I found some special items for my toddler that I've never seen elsewhere and they were affordable. The books are displayed beautifully, and the owner is very kind and friendly. Great experience. Excited to have this store locally! A local gem for sure, be sure to support them!

I honestly love this place! I’ve come back multiple times and it’s just amazing! The owners are so sweet and I always find myself getting a new book every time I go! I do wish that there was a larger young adult section but there are still plenty of books and they’re all incredible!! I remember the first time I came in and how everyone was so kind! It’s probably the best book store in maryville and I can’t wait to return.

I enjoy coming here. It's very cozy and the folks that run the place are really cool. They have a good selection with a little of something for everyone. They also have a nice kid's section that's great for gift shopping.
