J & G Fireworks

Went to J&G today, was gonna go to phantom but thought I give a local shop a try. And I was really glad we went here today. It’s a small mom and pop shop but plenty of selection and the prices well you can’t pass them up. The staff were super nice to begin with and one of the owners Mike was super nice and made the selection easy going. I bought the Big Bang box and I’m sure we’re gonna love it. It’s huge even though it wouldn’t fit in the car they were nice enough to break it down and loaded it for us. Will definitely be back soon maybe this week to buy more. Stop going to big chains and paying a arm and a leg for stuff go here you won’t be disappointed trust me.

Fun little shop. The staff, which I believe are all (or mostly) family, are impossibly friendly. Certainly not as big as Phantom and tucked away in the middle of nowhere, they do have a surprisingly broad select of pyro to choose from. I went in a few days before July 4th and the shelves were well stocked, but they sold out by the 3rd due to high demand. Prices are cheaper than Phantom (who are comically astronomical). They carry mostly TNT and Black Cat products, which are both well-established brands, though I don't have much experience with them.

What is interesting is the additional products they sell that you can't find elsewhere. They have fusing supplies and firing systems, wipe cakes, fuse-by-the-foot, and other items I have not seen anywhere else, including the big wholesale shops. Good stuff for the enthusiast. Its an enjoyable little mom-and-pop shop with interesting stuff to see. The owner is friendly as well. Hours seem to be weird though, so call before going to make sure they're open.

Mike has just about anything a pyro could imagine. He is thoughtful, helpful and kind. I suggest any person who plans on spending any significant amount cash spend their money at J&G.

His selection is better than Phantom, and the prices are better. Not to mention he has stuff that the big chain places wont; unique stuff you don't see much anymore and one off things I've never seen.

For the backyard "pro" Mike has you covered there. He has mortar racks and tubes. He carries the firefly electronic firing system. Fuses, zip-ties, e-match. Everything.

In short; I cannot stress this enough, make the trip! It is totally worth the time and money. Not to mention the beautiful Ohio scenery you get to drive through!

The best, most reasonable priced fireworks I have ever bought. When u go here u realize how jacked up the prices are at the large stores like phantom. This place made me feel like I was a kid shopping for fireworks again. The down home feel and location is just amazing.

Excellent customer service and prices. The owner went out of his way to steer me in the direction of what kind of displays I wanted for my purpose. can't say enough good things about J & G. Very Impressed!

Only place I'll go to buy fireworks. Always greated with a smile. Have the best prices around where I live. I'm the 5th generation to purchase fireworks from here. My children will be coming here also. Already do with me even know they can't buy them yet, will when there old enough tho.

Best selection of Chinese New year fire works! Cool novelty stuff for kids ie floating paper lanterns and light up hoberman balls, very friendly staff, we will be back next year.
