I was very pleased with there service. I needed a new chain for my chainsaw. I was not able to find one at ace. They had several chains that worked for my saw and they are even able to make custom chains. Very pleased with their service and the knowledge they have/shared. Support local.

Excellent little hardware store! They have pretty much all the staples of tools and various odds and ends of home-done projects.

This place has pretty much all you need and stuff u didn't know you wanted lol! The Pryor owners , Dave & Peggy were amazing people but the new owners seem to be able to take on the business pretty smoothly . I don't know if I've met them yet, although the people running it for them are extremely nice and helpful. And don't forget to pet their beautiful 'little ' store mascot!!

Nelson's Old West Hardware is a rare gem of a hardware store. It is an excellent example of a good, old-fashioned hardware store, the kind your grandfather would have made his favorite. They have an amazingly good inventory for their size, reasonable prices, they are always helpful and cheerful, they play great music, and their atmosphere is great. Give them your business, not to do them a favor, but to do yourself a favor! And, if you can find it, check out the hand-made ironwork claw in the nail bucket. What a work of art!

The owner Dave is great. Always helpful. Great selections of just about whatever you might need. The prices are surprisingly reasonable.
I buy my pellets to heat my house here and they store them until I need them. Just pull the truck up and they use a forklift to load a ton in and I'm good to go till next time. In and out and no hassle. They have great service.
There good at sharpening chain saw chains when you don't feel like doing it yourself also.

I bought a few t posts and got a tutorial on how to start my stihl chain saw! Great folks! (solved my chain saw starting issues as well!)

Very nice clerks there. I go shopping early any day of the week. I beat the crowds and I'm back home before the crowds begin. Quaint, quiet store. They've got homemade brownies at the counter made by a local. I've gone in there just to buy those. They are yummy!

Dave usually has whatever you need. It's a small store with a good inventory. We always go here first because we would rather pay him than support our local Ace Hardware in Miller's.

So many times I've found that that this store has the hard to find part as well as the common part or fastener, saving the drive to another city. The sales staff are the best. Been shopping here for 17+ years, it's a great place!

It's an amazing place and Larry, Dave are super gentlemen very helpful in everything that was taken place at the time their customers I believe come back because of how they are treated if you are in the Spirit Lake area or just passing through check them out awesome folks they have been here for 37 years starting from the very beginning rented for the first 3years and now owners amazing place

Best in the no B.S. department! (Even if you may not like it.) Won't ever sell you anything you don't need! WILL give valuable advice, and information! Short of showing up and performing the labor, Old West Hardware has everything your likely to need. I'm especially fond of the adopt a flag program they held last year. Thanks Dave!

Best place in Spirit Lake to get your household fix it needs. Owner super nice and they just might have everything you need and very competitive pricing.. sometimes even lower than ace... ok almost all the time!
