Brad is a phenomenal person; he was a pleasure to meet and has such a passion for everything that he does. All I had him do was put in a new trigger group in my AR-15, but I definitely know who I'll be using in the future for all of my firearm needs. I can see and understand why he has such a backlog of work. He is truly an amazing gunsmith, and his attention to detail is unmatched. It was such an experience to listen and learn quite a bit of new things in such a short period. I will recommend him to every true firearms friend that I can!

When one uses a true, popular, record-setting Master Gunsmith to build a custom rifle, one must expect delays due to workload. Brad Stair IS one of those true, popular, record-setting Master Gunsmith's. For myself, Brad built a 7mm WSM for my 1,000yd target addiction, and told me - up front - it would take 6-8 months to complete due to heavy workload. I accepted that, and he called me within that time frame (somewhere in the middle, without splitting hairs) and said it was ready. Brad is a craftsman of the nth degree - the rifle is beautiful, and shoots that 1,000yd steel well within 1moa (when I'M having a good day for a 77 year old man). I have found Brad to be honest and very helpful in keeping my desires within the realm of reality, and he is now in the process of preparing my NEXT 1,000yd rifle! I have learned that if you WANT the best, and you choose to use the BEST, you have to be prepared to work within his time frame because that's how high-demand builders, like Brad Stair became high- demand. Attention to detail, and a desire to create a mechanical work of art, as close to perfect as humanly possible... which takes more time!

He's a very friendly guy, and in the most genuine way. I instantly liked him. And he knows a ton, has plenty of experience, and is very capable. This guy, who's not young anymore, completed a job for me 2 days after having emergency surgery. What a stud! He's my favorite smithy.

Brad worked on my Armalite AR50 and did a great job. Blueprinted the action, converted it to .50 Tejas and a whole bunch of other little things. I'm extremely happy with how the gun turned out.
