My family and I love the Baghdad Mediterranean Market. I've never had a bad experience and can always find what I'm looking for. The owner has been so welcoming and kind each time we've been there! Everything cooking looks and smells amazing! The tea and coffee are fantastic too!!

Fabulous place for food, coffee and groceries. The customer service is A+ and food is delicious. And it’s fun to tell my friends I’m going to Bagdad this weekend to get the best shawarma ever!

I stopped on a whim a few days ago and picked up falafel bowls, baklava, and bread. The food was so delicious! We headed there for lunch again today; we enjoyed the shawarma platters, and coffee and baklava. The food is fantastic, and the hospitality warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem. I wish I would have taken more pictures. The baklava is so yummy. They have walnut and pistachio kinds, little and big. I had the chicken shawarma and my husband had beef and lamb shawarma and it was very yummy. They add so much meat and toppings. I could not even eat all of my food. The tea and coffee we had afterwards was a nice completion to our meal.

The food here is amazing. The owners are super nice also. We will definitely return time and time again. I had the chicken shwarma, and my wife had the falafel salad. We shared an order of the fries that were seasoned really well. Definitely worth a stop in!

Absolutely loved my experience at Baghdad Market! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The chicken shawarma was out of this world – perfectly seasoned and tender. The market's collection of Mediterranean spices and goods was a treasure trove for food enthusiasts. Another highlight was the five-star falafel, crispy on the outside and deliciously flavorful on the inside. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back for more!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Today I made it a point to go and I am so glad I did! I have finally found a place in Fredericksburg that has delicious homemade falafel. I had the falafel sandwich, fries and a piece of walnut baklava and pistachio baklava. The bread is baked in the store and really gives the sandwich that WOW factor as does the tahini and curry sauces. The baklava is delicious and I am happy they have containers of it to take home. While the food was delicious, my favorite part of the experience was the friendliness and welcoming atmosphere. They made me feel extra special as they were prepping my order. They provided a sample of Turkish coffee and fries. It was my first time trying the coffee and I’m a fan now. I’m definitely going to pop in once a week. 100% recommend this place if you like authentic Mediterranean food.

If you want to have some of the best food around come to the Baghdad Mediterranean market. The owners, Safa and Omar, are super sweet and friendly. They have a wide selection of Mediterranean groceries and goods. Now let's move on to the food and man ... hands down the best Shawarma in this area if not in the nova area. We had some Turkish coffee and baklava while waiting, both were delicious. Safa's baklava just melted in my mouth. We brought home some hummus and my kids licked the tub clean. Safa and Omar have worked really hard on creating a cozy atmosphere in their shop and they nailed it perfectly. They offer both indoor dining as well as outdoor dining. From their fresh hot foods to the prepackaged foods this place is a new favorite of mine!

Amazing and very welcoming. The man making our food did it with love and patience! Has so many different fragrances as well, they are reasonable priced and are well worth the money! Would recommend to anyone who loves real ethnic food.

Food was so delicious! The owner was so nice & kind. He made you feel so welcome & he converses with you as if you have known each other for a long time. I will for sure go back with my family & friends. This was our first time to visit this place.

I loved this place! My husband had been dying to go so we made the trip yesterday. The food was soooo good. And the guys working were so nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon!

I had been following this store for a while on Facebook and have seen several reviews in different local groups but we don’t get out often and I primarily prepare/cook our meals…but when I learned that everything is made without preservatives…I made it a point to stop in today on our way back from medical appointments.
The sincerity of the owners/staff is amazing. Refreshing to have such wonderful customer service and experience.
We ordered the Falafel special with Zatar fries and a Shawarma Wrap.
Then I purchased different samples of their Baklava, have not tried but I’m sure it’s amazing.
Portions were enough for us to split…and still had half of the wrap and yummy pickled veggies and fries for another meal.
Hubby has already claimed for dinner which is fantastic because I don’t have to cook now.
We got several of the other homemade treats, dates, fig cookies, puréed juices, etc.

Here is a wonderful new option for home-made Arab food, a nice selection of Mediterranean groceries, plus a welcoming atmosphere from the family who owns it. Best authentic shawarma in our area, hands down! Don’t forget to get the zataar fries and a coffee, too. Sakhtein!

Recently visited Baghdad Market, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. I walked in , I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly greetings from from the staff.food was amazing just like back home in the Middle East. You just got regular customer 🙏

Amazing experience! Greeted by a super friendly staff and offered amazing cup of coffee and baklava. Ordered chicken shawarma and fries. Everything is cooked fresh, served hot, and served by the friendliest host you could ask for. The store is packed with local treats, drinks, and amazing breads. Now, back to the baklava…amazing! Amazing hospitality. Best I've had. Make the trip, you will not regret it.

Quite possibly the best baklava I’ve had this side of the Mediterranean. One bite and I was taken back to an incredible trip to Turkey I was lucky to take time ago. The baklava are made fresh, in house using traditional methods and taste just how I remember them. I couldn’t wait to get them home..

If you’ve never tried Shwarma, this would be the place to go for your first taste, chicken or beef, you can’t do wrong. Plus, they are HUGE! I had the falafel sandwich with tahini and it hit the spot!

Omar and his wife operate an authentic and very friendly market/cafe with a very welcoming feel. Try the Turkish coffee.. soo good!

They have a great menu with huge portions, a wide selection of awesome desserts, and the staff were super fun to chat with.

The beef and lamb shawarma is so so good and they have a large variety of sauces to go with it.

This cafe/ market is such a wonderful addition to Fredericksburg! The owners are such a welcoming and kind family. They have the best baklava I’ve had in the US. The Turkish coffee and Shawarma are also amazing and made to perfection. A must try to experience authentic Middle Eastern taste and hospitality. 😊 🌹

This place is outstanding. Highly recommend everyone go check it out. The food is beyond delicious. You can tell everything is fresh and made from scratch. The grocery side is awesome too. So many amazing items and a great alternative to the highly processed stuff found at other places. The owners are so nice and genuine and just a pleasure to talk with.
