Always great customer service never have to wait for anybody to come help me usually have everything I'm looking for and if and if they don't they can usually order it. Their key makers are on point. They have a great selection of outdoor goods. Their rentals are fairly priced and usually always in good shape. Rodney is one of the best guys that can help you. And their staff is always Pleasant.

I had a fantastic experience at Slavens, our local hardware store! We visited to find license plate screws, a float valve for the toilet, and some caulking. Every department we entered, a helpful staff member approached us and guided us to exactly what we needed. Great customer service and a wide selection of products made our trip enjoyable and efficient. Highly recommend Slavens for all your hardware needs!

While browsing through the store I noticed there were family pictures displayed, I want to thank the person that did that. It was so nice to see Mr. Slavens again.
I moved to Cortez 42 years ago and worked at the Donut Whole on Main St. across from Brus paint store.
It was so cool to see Mr. Slavens walking down Main St., Looking so dapper wearing his suits, hats, and walking with his cane. He was such a nice gentleman.

We stopped by to buy dog food, they didn't have any stock. Bummer!
But we got some other great things. We looked around and found some items we needed. Friendly employees and they are easy to find if you need help with anything.

WOW! This store is amazing. There actually two levels not to mention the lumber yard. This place has everything under the sun. It's as well stocked as a very large ACE. The people here are super helpful and courteous even when you're going in there to "invent" something.

This is the best store in town, if you need gloves they have an awesome quality glove program! Elks-kin, deerskin, pigskin, and cowhide!

I was visiting town for Thanksgiving week, and stopped in with my brother and dad to get some materials for a little garage work. The store was very busy, as it was for Black Friday deals I am sure. We did not require any assistance, but I could tell that the staff were very helpful to other customers that were in the store. Well maintained store with plenty to choose from, as I would expect from any True Value.

Shop here near daily. Great people especially the tall guy in the rental area this afternoon. I came in and parked next to a kid sitting in the car next to us alone. Having two children of my own and knowing what people are capable of we sat outside the store to wait for her parent to come.
I ended up asking the guy in rental are if he knew about the kid and that I was worried of strangers he said dont worry he'll watch the car till a parent shows up. THANK YOU tall older guy with baby blue shirt

The best hardware store! Remodeling my place last year I was here all the time. Super friendly staff and helpful. Always found what I needed or got good avdice and tips on projects. And bless them for not making me wear a mask 💛

Tools for novice and skilled are right in the department. Assistance to answer your questions and direct you to the proper area and help you find what you need and how and why IT'S what you are looking.for. Good experience, knowledgeable sales personnel.

Awesome, helpful folks. If they don't have it, you don't need it. Plus, they carry Duke Cannon products.

Slavens True Value Hardware Store in Cortez is incredibly well stocked, and customer service there is great! You can always find a helpful friendly face and be amazed at what they have in stock in such a small town.
