Dollar General

I stopped in several times while vacationing in Salvo last month. I commented to one of the ladies (who was restocking and tidying up) about how neat the store was and how well stocked it was as well. She said there were only two ladies who did that work and I would like to commend them both.

Great store to pick up a few things that are needed if. You are in the area. The store seemed clean and the staff was friendly.

This is the nicest Dollar General I've ever been in. Very neatly stocked. Very friendly and helpful staff. They are really like a grocery store and not your typical Dollar General.

A very good option for groceries and household supplies in Salvo, North Carolina. The store was clean, well organized and well stocked. The staff was helpful and they opened a second register when the line was long at the first one. They had plenty of beach supplies as well.

This Dollar General is insane! My family and I have been going to Salvo for years when we come down for our beach trips, and we always travelled to Food Lion as we thought it was the only grocery option near by. We just happened to go to the Dollar General to see what selection of beverages they had, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a wide selection of food and other essentials! They don't have any produce, but there are other markets and produce stands nearby that can supplement in that area. We will definitely be shopping here instead of travelling for groceries. It has just about everything we need!

Clean store and well stocked especially for how busy this location is. Actually watched a lady in line drop a spaghetti sauce while checking out and an off duty employee ran up and helped her clean it up. Very nice to see nowadays.

Service was good, store had lots of products to choose from, the main source of General necessities within five minutes, overall happy with experience

Yes its crowded with stuff in the aisles, yes, a little on the hectic side in the store, and you can sometimes find it hard to get what you need, restocking could be a bit better, but feel that's just for lack of staff not "because of staff", but..in general, well The Dollar General in Waves, NC .. has nice employees, store attempts to stay clean, (with summer visitors I'm sure that makes it harder).. the prices are good, better than at the grocery stores, and if your smart, you go to there website and set online a account.. where it's so easy to clip coupons, then in store, give your phone number before you check out, to get the savings which can really save you some money, and who doesn't want to do that? It seems there is still some folks who are going into the store, as I witnessed without face coverings, and I dont blame the couple workers in a busy store to catch the ones who do.. but it does make you a little more hesitant to shop if some are not trying to be safe, especially for those who are at high risk for illness. Also it could cause them to need to close down for the lack of others not adhering to rules set in place by Dare Co. for a reason.. like, so they can have the privilege to shop.. otherwise I'd say this is a great place to get what you need and at a good price, and with any employee's I've seen or has waited on me all being nice and helpful. So 5 stars (because you really can't with a limited staff expect fully unloaded stock, or sparkling floors)..I'd say under the circumstances there doing great, and I have to say..."much, much better customer service and definitely cleaner than the Manteo, NC store..( maybe you should train there staff) so kudos to you all, I didn't rate them that well for service and a really cluttered store, but it show's not to judge one store because of another. Keep up the good job! And.. Thank you "

It is nice to have this store in Waves because the closest grocery store is in Avon. This little store has anything you can think of and then some. I just wish it carried fresh produce.

Good place for us campers to visit when we forget big spray our sun block. We even bought some sand toys. New store and a short bike ride from the camp ground.

Nice store. Friendly staff. Nice beach supplies also there. Ask an attendant for the key to the bathroom. They even had wide brim hats which we were looking for.

Store still well stocked even after the Saturday incoming rush. The gentleman working was very nice and helpful letting customers know where they could find the items they needed.

I go to this location at least once per week. Everyone is friendly and knows their store. I am happy they are close by for everything I need.

This is a great store located in Waves, North Carolina. They have a nice variety of food items and other essentials. Great customer service.

The location of this store is everything! Very convenient. This store is like a miniature Walmart Supercenter with the variety of products carried and the prices around the store. No complaints from me.

They Had great charcoal so I could cook the most awesome Filet and Shrimp ever!

This store is awesome. Friendly knowledgeable workers, a great selection of items at great prices, clean and easy to shop and in a beautiful area to boot.

Always happy to visit the local small town "mall". Had our cats preferred litter as expected and a few other things we didn't know we needed.
