Carpenter Wine Cellar

I loved this place when it was Triangle Wine and just visited for the first time since it became Carpenter Wine. I have to say, it’s such a huge upgrade!! There is way more seating inside than before, and they still have the outdoor seating.

There’s a great selection of wines from around the world. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me make my selections. They have a wine club now where you get 2 bottles of wine a month, with pick up parties when you go to pick up your bottles. They also have trivia nights and wine tastings.

You can bring outside food in, which is great because the Indian restaurant next door smelled too good to resist. It was great being able to bring my Indian food inside and eat while I enjoyed a glass of wine.

I was looking forward to the cheese case that is pictured in another review, but it wasn’t there. There are other local snacks for purchase though.

These guys are amazing. Fabrice knows my wine style better than I do. He is very knowledgeable. Always willing to help. Carpenters is a great place. All people are welcome here. The selection is off the charts. I look forward to Friday wine tasting. I highly recommend!

Such a cool place to grab great wines at decent price. Friendly people, who are always willing to help. Love the vibe and good wine selection. They sometimes also do tastings over the weekends which are fun.

Great revamp of the former Triangle Wine space - plenty of seating both indoor and on the patio. Love the new decor, solid draft list and overall vibe with much later hours! Can’t wait to come back!

This has become one of my favorite new places! Starting visiting here about 6 months ago! Excellent wine and bottle selections, and 20 beer selections on tap! The staff is so friendly - they now know what I like and make recommendations! Prices are great, and they have a lot of weeknight activities and specials such as trivia and $5 NC beer flights! Plenty of large tables to grab a group of friends or coworker, too! Go check out this place - you won’t be disappointed!

Pleasant staff, lots of seating options, clean store & bar. I went on a Tuesday not knowing about the special and it was still given to me so definitely a company operating on integrity. Plus they love supporting their neighboring food places by allowing their food in the bar area while you enjoy a drink & catch the game. Big+ to me

I absolutely love this place! They have an incredible selection of beer and wine. There's definitely something here for everyone, no matter what you like. Sam at the bar is amazing. He's super chill and everything he's every recommended that I try has been awesome. There's a really cool vibe, and Sam definitely contributes to it. You can come on your own or with a group and always have a good experience. This is definitely one of my new favorite places to come get a beer and have a good evening.

Never heard of a Gruner Veltliner Austrian white wine. Went to this store & Sam Reynolds helped me navigate a decision with his recommendation. Will revisit & score the perfect bottle of wine from the Carpenter Wine Cellar & to consult w/Sam as my go-to wine consultant.

Tried this place on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised. In the back was nice seating area with indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the couches in the place! Todd the manager was great! He helped me pick out my wine and let us know that they were in there soft opening period so if there was anything we liked but didn’t see that he could help us order it. Great customer service and a huge place to grab wine with friends and still be able to social distance from others you don’t know. We will definitely be making this our new spot!

Local, laid back, and chill vibes is a way to describe Carpetner. In front they have an amazing selection of beer and wine to shop for and in the back there are plenty of community tables and a bar to taste and take in wines and beers. The bartender was super friendly and allowed us to try before we committed, which was so cool. There was never any pressure from him and he made us feel at home. I tried a dry rose cider from NY and an Italian rose, which were both amazing!

Unfortunately they do not have food, but there are plenty of restaurants around and they allow you to bring in your own food and partake.

My friend and I shut down the bar, but again no pressure to kick us out. The bar had such a great energy and vibe! I definitely will be back!

I thoroughly enjoyed this place and can’t wait to return. This place has a large bottle shop up front with beer and a wide variety of wines (I’m not a beer drinker, so I didn’t check out the beer aisles), and a bar in the back. The bar area has a lot of seating, and variety of chips, crackers, meats, and cheeses to snack on (as well as allowing outside food), a fairly extensive list of beers on top, and an ok list of wines available by the glass. I only wish they had more wines available by the glass (there were only the red options). The workers were both super nice and I’d go out of my way to visit again.

Carpenter Wine Cellar is great! It's a nice place to go to relax, have a few beers, and meet new people. They also have a wide selection of beers and wines, and the employees are kind and knowledgeable about the products. The nice guy at the cash register, Matt, recommended a good sour to take home. I will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely LOVE the new team at Carpenter Wine Cellar! We recently worked with them and their private event space for a surprise marriage proposal and it was so perfect all thanks to the team there! Mikaela and Fabrice worked with us every step of the way to ensure that all details were executed smoothly and they went above and beyond to participate in the surprise. On top of that the wine here is delicious and they are so knowledgeable of the selection! We will be visiting here often and have added it to our list of favorite places in the area for a date night! Highly recommend!

Love this new bottle and tap shop. In the old spot of Triangle Wine Co but it’s a serious upgrade. The selection of beer, especially international beer, is one of the best in the triangle. The 20 tap list is diverse and delicious! The seating area is expansive and I love the new bar. I was sad when triangle wine closed but man, this is a serious upgrade!

Great wine, service & atmosphere! I appreciated all the guidance to pick out wines to gift my family. Wonderful Outdoor seating and indoor , great for any weather and season.

Here right now! (Will deal with wife’s questions later 😂). Nice set up! Lots of space to hang. Nice staff. Willing to listen to my BS and interact. Had a really nice chocolate porter. Now heading home for dinner. Will definitely be back… Soon … and “officially” 😆

Excellent selection and very friendly staff. Plus, they keep a great rotating selection of beers on tap in the back bar.

Amazing experience here with both their bar and bottle shop. The bar tenders were extremely nice. We learned it’s dog friendly inside and out - will be back with our doggo next time!
