I bought a duplex that had a builders grade gas fireplace. That is really ugly. I was planning on removing it, but the basement is very cold.
I thought if the fireplace works, maybe that would take the chill out of the air. Come to find out the fireplace had barely been used and was in good condition! Luis showed me how to use it, and it wasn’t a huge cost factor! I now have a warm basement!

Fantastic people to deal with, A+ work, on time, proper quote, fair, honest, if I had another fireplace that needed fixed I'd call these people back in a HEARTBEAT. They came out to the house I was buying to inspect my chimney, with cameras, and provided me a quote to fix some broken panels and a new hearth. I called them up after we closed on the house, they showed up on time and put in solid work on making our fireplace useable and awesome. The only complaint I have is that I wish they took credit card... aside from that, these people deserve your business. Super nice to call, or email, very responsive, polite, and easy to talk to. Solid work, guys.

We are very pleased with the instillation of our new fireplace! Bobby Wiegmann was very helpful planning our project and assuring we obtained exactly what we wanted.
The installers, Todd and Cody, went out of their way to complete the project in a timely manner while minimizing the the mess and inconvenience any remodeling project brings. We are impressed with their professionalism and friendliness.
We highly recommend Wiegmann Woodworking and look forward to hopefully future projects.

I feel bad for moonlight 1's experience but mine went very smoothly. In January 2017 Weigmann Woodworking Fireplaces removed the 5 year old defective fireplace from our home (built in 2011) and replaced it with a new higher end gas fireplace. They also add more insulation and dry walled the fireplace bump out. The original plaster mold mantle was removed and a beautiful new stone face was installed. I was here every day while they worked and I thought they were very professional and respectful of our home, cleaning up after themselves after each work day and following up with us to make sure we were happy with everything. We have had the fireplace for over a year now and have used it dozens of times, it has been great. Our living room no longer has a cold air draft near the fireplace like it originally had, and the stone really made our living room pop with more color and detail. Some of my family members have also had Weigmann's work on their homes and had the same good experience I have had. Their showroom is also very large and has some beautiful setups you can see any day. It really helped us to narrow down what we wanted in our home. When you are spending multiple thousands of dollars on upgrades to your home I always prefer to see things in person up close before committing.

Overall I think they did a wonderful job and have always returned my calls promptly and emails when I had questions. I will continue to use them for yearly maintenance on the unit.

In response to Moonlight's review: First of all, we strive very hard to please our customers. We will reach 20 years in business in July 2018. We deeply regret that Moonlight's job did not go smoothly as planned. This was unfortunate for both her, and for our company. We take responsibility in part, and thought we "made things right". (until we saw this review). Regarding the stone color issue: our installers "did" notice a discrepancy of the stone color between the boxes, and called the stone supplier about the differences prior to installing the stone. They were told that the stone was still wet, and that once it dried, it would become the same color. (which we've seen happen in the past) So that is why they proceeded to install the stone. We did not want to delay the project, and were confident the stones would dry the same color. Unfortunately, that was not the case! (much to our dismay, as well as the customer's) The stone company stood behind the product and sent new stone. (this did delay the project, and also forced us to delay other projects for other customers.) The stone company did send paperwork for the customer to sign, to ensure that she approved the new batch of stone. Our installers then removed the stone and replaced it with the new batch. Our company did not frame the walls for the fireplace, so the issue with the location was out of our control. If the customer had communicated that she was not happy about this with us during the project, it could/would have been addressed. Communication with this customer was difficult throughout the entire process. We often had to work through a 3rd party. However, at the end of the project, we were under the impression that Moonlight was satisfied. If we had known that she was not, we certainly would have tried our best to see what else we could do to make her happy, as that is always our goal.

Chad and his entire team did a phenomenal job on our outdoor fireplace. We couldn't be more pleased with it. In addition to the excellent craftmanship, I felt they were fair and honest on pricing. I give them my highest recommendation.

Great service and patient with details. Pricing best we have found without any need to haggle. Well equipped installation crew also. Fireplace not installed yet but we are confident it will be same as the buying experience.

I would not use this company. They installed stone on the front of my new fireplace that did not match, then tried to get me to sign some sort of release with the stone manufacturer rather than take responsibility for not checking the product before installation. Also the fireplace is not plumb, and they are trying to blame the contractor for not framing it square. The problem therefore is twofold, the workmanship is substandard and the effort to correct it is less than honorable.

There are other fireplace installation companies in southern Illinois, consider trying any of them instead.

The whole process has been disappointing and time consuming, and other projects have been put on hold so there is no collateral damage to the floors, etc, when the fireplace is eventually redone.
