Kapamilya Philippine Grocery

I stumbled upon this shop while looking for vegetarian food. I had noodle and roast-sautéed tofu. The host was amiable. I shamefully unexpected the taste of foods that I bought there, and what a surprise! They were delicious! Unfortunately, I did not taste meat dishes as a vegetarian, but judging from what I had, I am confident that other dishes will be delicious too. Also, you will find some exotic sweets and snacks there. I live far away from Howell; however, if I have another chance to pass by Howell, I’ll stop by to buy some food and snacks.

This place is an absolute gem. If you've never tried Filipino food, Kapamilya is a great place to start. It's the best you'll find in the area. They always knock it out of the park with their prepared foods. My personal favorites are the kare kare, sisig, and bbq sticks.

I've always found the staff to be kind, helpful, and polite. My only critique is that I wish they stayed open later, but I can't find it in me to take any stars away for that. It is family owned and operated, after all.

If you can catch them during bankers' hours, you will not be sorry!
