We were across the street having lunch when my eight year old son started having a migraine. Of course I didn't have any children's ibuprofen with me. I walked across the street to the Mercantile and was warmly greeted. I asked if by chance they had any ibuprofen or Tylenol. Wouldn't you know it! They had both!!! What a neat little store and such friendly staff!!!

My husband and I stopped in to the mercantile after having lunch at the soda fountain (also great!) across the street.

What a lovely shop this is and Josh, the owner, is such a friendly guy with a great story of how he came to settle in Chugwater, WY, which we found fascinating after discovering he was from our home state of PA.

We bought some local coffee and a few postcards which were photographs taken by Josh.
Do stop in should you find yourself in Chugwater- you’ll be glad you did.

After stopping off for lunch at The Soda Fountain opposite, we took a look at this new store. Had a great chat with owner and bought some Arbuckles Ariosa coffee beans - Josh the owner gave me a history of this product, and we also had a long discussion about the great plans - making it into a true authentic looking general store and also for other historical properties in Chugwater such as the old disused hotel and gas station. Good luck and I hope to re-visit this place again sometime.

I’ve been in a few times now, and all of the staff are wonderful people. I had a few questions about the coffee they sell, and they had the answers I was looking for, and even had a pot brewed to sample! They have a wide variety of necessities, and the store is always clean. Highly recommend them!

Its a small town general store that is reviving a forgotten downtown building. From groceries, automotive, feed for your livestock, local treasures, and such. It is forever expanding its inventory to include hardware and more. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Even a cozy fire place to sit and talk. Definitely a must stop destination!

Small store with little in it, but has what ya need if ya get stuck during a snow storm. We ended up stuck during a road closure and the people there were very nice and friendly. Had free coffee, a fire place and grocery store inside.

Nice people that are off to a great start. Product line is expanding and growing. Its great to finally have everyday products available without having to drive to Wheatland or Cheyenne. Local convenience is great.

Wonderful store. Polite owners and always willing to help. For a very small community this is the best thing to happen to our small town.
