Community Supermarket

Nice, clean, smaller grocery store. Great place to go if you just need to run in for something or fill a whole grocery order. Their prepared foods are really good (my husband is a big fan of their fried chicken, and I like their pizza). Friendly staff, too.

This family owned grocery store is my go to. Great selection with reasonable prices and friendly employees.

Super clean store and friendly customer service. Best lunch meat around and best bakery. I order all my cakes from here!

I go here a lot for groceries, batteries, chicken for parties and they have a lot of good sales and in also got my covid shots here and I love chocolate milk and Turner's milk has limited chocolate milk and I always have to go try it ALL THE TIME LOL. But yah I like Community Supermarket.

Always fresh produce with a nice selection. The deli makes many delicious dishes and grab and go items throughout the day and whole pizzas to order. Random sales and lower than usual priced items seem to be a regular thing. The staff is helpful and friendly. I think it's better than the "Giant Bird" stores.

Love this store. Some things are a little pricier, but I love all the fresh food and baked goods they have.

Nice local supermarket. Great Hot Foods! Surprisingly they make some really good Chicken Wings (Price is GREAT) and the Pizza is great too.

Someone let me on their secret that you can call and place takeout orders. Dozen fresh full wings (slightly breaded/seasoned) and a large pizza for a little over $20... Piping hot when you pick it up!

They have been so nice during this whole Corona issue and they have set the store up as safely as possible. Never have a problem coming here. Even when they first started the WIC cards, which was more frustrating then it needed to be, nothing but nice and calm employees who seem to value your job and want to be there for their customers.

I'm in this plaza on a regular basis, but I've never stopped at Community Market - until the other day. I was pleasantly surprised! The store is neat and clean. The produce section is well stocked. The employees are friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Community Market is a great place to go if you want to "shop locally," as opposed to the big chain markets. The owners are local, and have been in business for 90 years or so. They operate three stores in our local area (Lower Burrell, Natrona Heights and Penn Hills), and have recently opened one in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh.

Despite being an "independent" market, their prices are competitive, and selection is good. The aisles are spacious. The deli is well stocked, with a much larger selection of meats and cheeses than usual for a store their size. They've recently added a pharmacy.

The staff there is helpful and friendly, and when the store gets busy, they always manage to find a couple people to open up extra registers. It's very rare to spend much time in a checkout line, even when the store is crowded.

I don't know what else a customer could want. I've never been to the Penn Hills or Bloomfield stores, but the ones in Lower Burrell and Natrona Heights are excellent. I recommend Community Market highly.

(Edit) They have recently installed 4 self-service registers. Unless you are looking at 20 minutes in line for a cashier, avoid the self-service registers like one would avoid standing on the beach as a Cat 4 hurricane approached. They simply are more trouble than they are worth.

Visited a week ago for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. Interestingly organized, vegetables in coolers, not open bins. Had 2 mobility carts. Friendly people, even right at closing time.

We are so greatful to have this store in our hometown. They have been so well stocked, organized and cleanly as we have gone thru this crazy pandemic. There is litterally no reason to try and go to one of the big box stores, just to be met with empty shelves. Great job to the management in running such a great place. Much thanks.
