HOOVER VALLEY COUNTRY STORE

Recommended by the local cavern guide - the appetizer basket and Buffalo Wings were delicious! Generous portions. Nice, homey atmosphere.

My friends at the Country Store and Cafe are always on point! But since they're my neighbors, I have to admit to being a bit prejudiced! Full disclosure. I know people from all over the Highland Lakes area who use Hoover's Valley Road as their way to Burnet, and most make the Store a stopping point! Not to mention the great Cafe, who we met coming from Lakeway to visit the Cafe! Store/Cafe team are great!

A friendly store and a very good Cafe.

The BEST food. We stopped and got country fried steak & the lous chicken sandwich. This food will knock your socks off!! CFS was flaky and crispy with perfect cream gravy. Chicken salad was like the kind your grandma who loves you would make, with grapes giving it that touch of sweetness, all on the most delicious sourdough bun!! Whatever you do, stop and eat. Staff is kind and caring too. No photos because we ate it all before we could even think we should have. Id give 10 stars if i could.

Nice cafe and general store combined. The cafe has great lunch specials and I ordered the philly cheese steak and loved it along with seasoned fries. Small selection of craft beers as well. Right across from the vineyard so a good stop before heading to the vineyard

I went here several times getting firewood because it was cheaper than the camp grounds, always received great service by the staff. We stayed at inks lake for Christmas weekend, and we stopped here on our way back to Houston, and my wife set her wallet down while dealing with our son that has down syndrome. The owner of the store found it and is mailing it to us, I offered the money (over $100) that was in the wallet for his trouble and he refused the reward. Highly recommend this store.

Great ,"hidden gem" but easy to find on park road 4. Food is awesome and very reasonably priced. Nightly specials. Worth a visit and you will want to return.

Great place, friendly staff, yummy lunch specials and pies. The burgers are HUGE! Would definitely recommend.

Nice place with a limited supply of convience items. Attached resturant is nice as well. I would visit more often except that none of the cashiers wear mask . In the midst of a pandemic the convience does not make it worth going to in near future. After the pandemic if they are able to remain open i might go back. For now kingsland it is.
