Came here for some scotch bonnets, left with more. It’s fairly small, but has a pretty good selection. Just definitely know what you need if you’re going to go in because the owner doesn’t play around 😂

This store has a great assortment of meat, fish, groceries, frozen items, cooked food and many different products from different parts of Africa (including some outfits, jewelry, rare hair and skin care products and other accessories). As soon as I stepped inside the store, the ladies there gave me a very warm and friendly reception. I was impressed and will be going back there frequently. You just have to see it for yourself!

This place is a great African Food store! The closest ones have all been up north and so far away! This is so close to central Dallas and they have so much that you would need for traditional African food! My fiancé is Nigerian so I frequently make Vegetable soup, Okazi soup, and Okra Soup. This store has the Ingredients for all these! There’s goat meat, cray fish, fufu, everything! Will for sure be shopping here again!

I was at the laundromat prior to this store opening and the woman in the pictures below, who I assumed was the owner, started harassing me about no parking in front of her store even though there was no signage stating this until after she arrived and pulled out a bucket. I thought she was berating me because of my ethnicity, but after reading other reviews, it appears she’s equally rude to everyone.

To the store owner, if you don’t want to share a busy parking lot with a laundromat, find an alternate location for your business -or- ask the property owners if you can paint your parking space as reserved.

If you are black American, we are not welcomed here. Incredibly rude soon as my wife child and I walked in as if we were lost beggars. Saddening...just wanted to make jollof.

Lady told us to leave the store as soon as we walked into the door, she had absolutely no reason to deny us service. You can not just assume that I was not there to buy anything, I'm still fairly new to living in Dallas so checking out a shop to decide if I want to buy something from it is reasonable.

Lady extremely rude and kicked me out at the door, no questions asked.

I was in the neighborhood and stopped by because I saw this place was new. Walked in the door, the lady at the register asked me what I wanted.
I answered I was new and wanted to look around and buy something. She quickly replied “no no, you can’t do that, get out.”
I was baffled by that response and was like “I have money, I can buy something” and she still responded “get out!”

I can totally understand that response if I was a kid and was gonna make a mess or waste their time. But after reassuring her that I was going to buy something (they had some hot food I wanted to look at and try) she still wanted to kick me out. Didn’t even give me a chance to explore new cultures and food and I’m honestly really saddened by it.

Edit after owner response:
I even told you I was going to buy something. “I don’t sell your stuff” is not a good response as you don’t know what I was going to buy, again you never gave me a chance, you kicked me out within 2 seconds of walking through the door.
What if I was trying a cook a Caribbean dish and needed an ingredient? I wouldn’t know if you had it because you kicked me out immediately. I saw you had hot food on the side and was going to buy some but you immediately shut me down. Not very open to people trying out your foods/culture.
