Madison is a great associate here. She is well-spoken and gives great customer service. I needed a referee shirt and knee sleeve, and I called ahead, and she had the shirt there at customer service waiting on me. I completed a survey right after cause I had a good experience in store and over the phone. Some stores don't care about you if you're not in front of their face. But this location has been great. I bought my sons 11u football helmet here, and they were helpful then and are usually my go-to for sporting goods and outdoor equipment. Camping, basketball, football, baseball, softball, and just some ole summer time fun.

They have a very wide assortment of products. I didn't have any problem finding a zero gravity recliner for a camping trip. The sales associate was very nice and helpful.

The staff is always helpful with my purchase of fishing supplies. Shopping here is a pleasant experience. I have been fishing with their whopper ploppers, frogs, worms, using the Sedona spinning reel on a 6ft. Diawa Arid X. 15lb braided with 10lb fluorocarbon leader.

The lady inthe gun department 1/2/24 at 10 am was awesome helping me out with a stun gun. Will definitely be back.

Good deals on guns amd accessories. Sometimes they have really good deals on ammo. All I have bought from there.

The store is organized and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for

Ordered a firearm, ammo and a cleaning kit online from Academys website. Took 2 days for the cleaning kit and ammo to come directly to my house. The firearm went to the store due to the background check having to be performed.

Took 3 days for the firearm to come into the store. Got a call from an employee telling me that my order had been delivered to the store and that I could come pick up at my earliest convenience. They do put a hold on your card for purchases that need to be delivered to the store and then is released and then immediately charged by Academy. Depending on your bank it can be a headache all its own.

I called the store in the afternoon and spoke to Percy at the firearms department and asked some questions about my purchase. The employee was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all my questions fully. I drove to the store from Shawnee and got there about 7pm and upon entering the store was greeted promptly by an employee and asked if I need help with anything. The departments are clearly marked in large letters on the walls so it made it easy to find the firearms counter. Every employee that I passed by greeted me and asked if I need help which was a nice change from just being ignored by other competitors employees.

Had to wait because they were busy but it was no longer than 15 minutes. I told them the reason I was there and they went and got the firearm for me to inspect. Sadly the case had been damaged in transit as it came by way of FedEx. The case corner was smashed but nothing was damaged thankfully. They apologized and said they could see what they could do to make me happy. I told them it was alright because the damage was not their doing so I wasn't going to hold it against them. I just ordered one off of Amazon as a replacement so it was all good. If you have to go back to the firearms counter, the employee that helped me was named Percy, yes the same on that I spoke to on the phone earlier in the day. He was genuinely friendly and helpful. He explained all the laws and procedures that I needed to know and also answered any and all my questions to the fullest extent. My personal background check only took 20 minutes total. That included filling out the forms via a tablet and waiting for them to send the request and get an answer back.

The manager was very friendly when she came over to finish the transaction as she was responsible for making sure everything was explained to me properly and to walk me to the door and give me my purchase.

The store got a 5 star rating from me and they deserved it. Will definitely be going there to purchase outdoor sporting goods and alike again.
