Dad's Toy Shop

This place has been here for many years, and a great place to find hobby supplies. As I was short on time, it was my first visit in some time, the have many items of the hobby nature, such as model cars, train tracks, slot cars, tracks and accessories, also radio controlled cars and planes. While many items are typical of a Dad or grampa interest, there were a younger crowd in there as well.

Better price than Amazon. Went to look at the traxxas 1/18 crawler Bronco and end up buying it there, great place to go as they have everything you want.

Great little hobby/toy store that's well worth the visit. Clean and bright in a re-purposed older store front. Store staff very friendly and helpful. Large R/C section with plenty of parts and tools. Quite a bit of HO and N trains, with an interesting selection of hard to find/out of production detail and accessory parts. Smaller, but varied plastic model selection. Lots of cars. Plus, if you're a railfan, there's a CSX line running right through town. Wapakoneta itself is a neat little town. Stop at Winan's for a treat when you're done!

Prices on some stuff seems higher than normal (in my opinion) but...It's a hobby shop, lots of nice toys and accessories. In addition to a very friendly staff who are very helpful. Always has been I like them guys so, thumbs up!

The staff was so friendly and gave a lot of great information. The kids were welcomed in and they loved seeing the model train run and even got to press the button which was exciting for them.

Very friendly, Good selection, Don't see what you're looking for, He'll order it for you, good price's, lot's of thing's to keep you entertained.

Sign in the window says “toys for dads.” We weren’t looking for any - just for a newspaper. They didn’t have it but the staff did their utmost to describe how we could get one. One staff member closed his eyes to describe the route. The other staff member has a big smile. Five stars for friendliness. Nice model trains and a ford bronco model too

Nice people, give discounts and very helpful. I personally go for the Gundam model kits but they have a lot of cool RC stuff as well, along with rockets

Extremely friendly folks. Great place for all things RC and can get you anything if they don’t have it! Model RR selection is limited. Plenty of other models, scenery and detail kits available. Nice to see another hometown hobby shop

An awesome hobby shop with a huge selection. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, very reasonable prices. You might be able to find some items cheaper on Amazon, but why would you want to miss the opportunity to browse a good old fashioned hobby shop!

Best place around for rc or train hobbies

A nice hobby shop in a quaint town. A lot of RC and model trains. Most plane kits are military focused, and most of the car kits are Anerican muscle. There was a small selection of gundams too. Employees were very nice, willing to help, and answer questions. Check it out!

The staff and owner of Dad's hobby shop are amazing. Dad's has an amazing selection of parts on hand. I was looking for parts for 3 different Traxxas trucks and get had multiple options for most of the parts I needed. The were more then helpful on everything

Went in looking for something for my dad knowing he loves his model trains. Well the inventory was overwhelming so I bought a gift certificate and sent my dad in. He used every bit of it and loves the items he bought!

Stopped in here to see what kind of R/C ground vehicles they had. Pretty good variety of cars and good range of prices ($100-$900) with 900 being x maxx. Will most likely be coming back around Christmas time to pick out some stuff.

Great little hobby store!

Great little downtown shop stocked with tons of scale models, rc cars and parts, hobby paints, and model railroading stuff. Incredibly helpful and friendly owner. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Wapak.

First time buyer here for any kinda rc truck. Picked myself up the Traxxas t-maxx 3.3 on Friday got it broke in and it runs great. Plus cheaper than any I found online and I didn't have to wait for it to ship to me. Great friendly service was in and out in no time.
