Hicks Trading Station

I drive 56 miles to Hicks just because they have always treated me right and give me good deals. They believe in the old fashioned concept of if you treat your customers right, they will be a life long customer.

My Father was a long time customer and so am I.

I really enjoy going. Always a large selection of new and used firearms. I have purchased many over the years. A very laid back, old time atmosphere. Everyone is made to feel welcome and if you talk or even better listen you can learn a lot.

Best place to buy or trade have been going there since 73 have bought and traded over 100 guns here I drive from ofallon n for best and largest selection anywhere

I bought a used Remington Versa Max several months ago from Hicks. Took it home, shot it, and noticed the barrel twisted about 1/16th of an inch either way after about 4 shells despite the barrel nut being tightened down snug. The barrel sight rib would not line up with the receiver making it awkward to shoot. I took it back to Hicks and explained the issue. They said they would send it in to have it checked out and they would do whatever it took to make it right. About a month later (waiting on parts) I picked up it. They changed the barrel out, which fixed the issue, at no charge because although it was used it was under warranty with them. Overall couldn't be happier, knowledgeable friendly people, good selection, and excellent service.

Very friendly and helpful folks here. They even welcomed me transferring an online purchase for a nominal fee

Best gun store anywhere

My late Father which was also my best friend and I have bought many of guns from Hicks Trading over the past 40 years and from where we live it's 100 mile round trip. The gentlemen at Hicks make you feel at home and they're very knowledgeable moreless about any type of gun you can think of. We've bought many of new and used guns from Hicks and we purchased Fox/ Steven's, Stevens, Remingtons, Ithacas, Smith & Wesson hand guns, Henry Golden Boy rifles, etc. and we've always been able to buy these guns from Hicks alot cheaper than any other gun dealer in the state of Illinois and I'm not talking $5.00 or $10.00 I strongly recommend Hicks Trading Post as your 1 and only gun dealer. This place is good to me they give me fair deals stand behind what they sell an offer top notch service, all people have their own opinions i wont bash the ones that want large discount store product and price but please dont bash our good friends at Hicks !

Amazing customer service, if you've got a question about anything they've got an answer. I've bought from them before and even from years ago, I still have no complaints about the quality.

Great place to go and shop for any type of firearms you are looking for and if they don't have it they will find it great quality and the people treat you with respect and very friendly and easy to get a good bargain been going there for 40 years and wouldn't go anywhere else

Never disappointed when I stop in. There's always interesting, quality stuff at great prices. I've bought several guns here over the years and I've never second guessed a purchase.
