They were so helpful! We needed a new blind since our back window one broke. They had it at the store and also helped with a bathroom blind and propane holder. Prices are decent and don't overcharge. Place is east to find and have a lot of icehouses for sale out front. Would recommend!

Let’s start off saying that we have purchased multiple new ice castles from different dealerships and every experience was a total joke ! ! Until we met Hendri the big kahuna at Smokey hills early spring this year. From start to finish nothing but professional and knowledgeable about our vision of a new house . Hendri was a huge help and had great ideas especially if you’re building something custom . From phone calls to the non stop emails they kept us in the loop on our build . Our experience was great and can’t Waite to hit the ice !!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would oh and by the way Hendri set us up with Smokey hills sweatshirts and I’m gonna wear it everywhere to represent !!

Ordered a expensive propane powered ice auger to be shipped to Michigan. They had the best price in the country! Most likely the shippers did not ship the auger sitting straight up and down so it was hydro-locked. Contacted the manager he instructed me on how to remedy the issue. Then he sent me 2 new rod and reel ice fishing poles, and stocking hat, and decals for my trouble. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! FAMILY RUN BUSINESS! Plan on buying from them over and over in the future. FORGET THE JUMBO STORES BUY SMALL BUSINESS!!

I order. Confirmation email. Shipped. 2-3 days at most. These dudes don’t mess around. I will continue and always use these guys for my needs going forward. I’ve had two orders within the last year and tip my hat to the service.

My husband and I are SO EXCITED! We recently ordered our Trophy Hunter Ice Castle from Smokey Hills Outdoor Store and can’t wait for the call that tells us we can pick it up!
From our friendly knowledgeable salesman, Neil, who helped us pick it out and set it up just the way we wanted (without feeling any kind of pressure), to his fellow co-workers who are always so helpful (like when we call and need a gift card for someone), they are a great group of people to work with and I would tell anyone that Smokey Hills is a great place to go!

My family and I ordered a custom Ice Castle ZR-22 back in September and finally picked it up on 12-11-2020. Custom builds are taking 4 to 6 months because of supply and demand of products that are used to build the Ice Castle. Our experience with Smokey Hills during our design was phenomenal. Brandon (sales) was fantastic. He did a great job helping us throughout the design with so many emails back and forth. Brandon ensured everything was right and where it should be. Hendri (president) is a class act guy who cares about his staff, the work they do, and most importantly the customer. Hendri even offered to take us around town while we waited about 4 hours for some final work that needed to be done with our truck for sway package. Mike (Shop manager) and Scott (Service tech) went above and beyond to get all the added accessories put on in a timely matter. Superior work by Scott and Mike. Smokey Hills process when delivering the final product is by far the best. They have an inspection process that each house goes through so it meets their standards. They even detail it. If your looking to order an Ice Castle, this is the place to go. They care about building relationships with their customers. Thank you Smokey Hills Outdoor Store, Brandon, Hendri, Mike, and Scott. You guys are the best.

Mike and his team did an outstanding job installing a new awning on our Bridge Pantry ice castle. The service was great, on time AND came in below the quoted price. Great team to work with. They know what they are doing.

I have bought three ice castles and other large purchases from SHO. I have always been treated very well, had great advice, and would not think of going elsewhere for items I can get there.

They service what they sell! Super important and super valuable to be able to call them from the ice if I had an issue.

My husband and I ordered a new fish house in January, and it's everything we wanted and more. We worked with Steve for the whole process, and he went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered. He was also very quick at responding to emails and phone calls, which was a huge help being my husband was very antsy to get the house. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Even though we live 3 hours away, we definitely will be doing any future work with Smokey Hills and Steve.

We checked out two other outdoor stores besides Smokey Hills Outdoor Store and it felt like because we were from out of town we weren’t welcome at the other two places, but Smokey Hills staff was so welcoming and helpful from the time we walked in the door. They took the time to get to know us and it wasn’t about just making a sale. On top of the amazing staff they have such an array of quality items!! We will definitely keep coming back for years to come!!

Smokey Hills is a must for us every time we come to Park Rapids. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They carry a very nice variety of sporting goods. The staff are go above and beyond. Last summer we bought fishing rods for our kids and the staff put the line on and made sure they were ready to fish before we even left the store!

I was up in Park Rapids for a week of fishing last week, and had called the bait shop about availability of jumbo leeches. We came in and purchased them. Fast forward a few hours and they had called back and said that they accidentially overcharged us by 30.00. Very nice to know their is still honest people. The guys in the fishing area were also more then willing to pass on some local knowledge. Keep up the good work!

Was looking to upgrade Ice Castle and searching online for options. Found one at Smokey Hills Outdoor Store. Worked with Nathan who was outstanding!! Gave them a very small amount to hold unit for me. Drove 6 hours to pick it up. I can not say enough good about how they handled us. I was surprised to find our unit had no toilet.......BOOM seconds later a toilet was being installed!!! We didn't have the right size hitch for the new unit as it was larger than our previous unit, BOOM unit hooked up with correct hitch!! Had an issue when we got home.....BOOM solution arrived in the mail a few days later!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE (new or used units) AT THIS STORE IS BEYOND AWESOME. Thank you Smokey Hills!! Even though you are 6 hours away, we will be back for our next trade!!! See you in a few years!!

This is our family tradition, for 45 years plus, when it was Deer Town it was good, but now that it's an outfitters it's even better! Great stop & shop on the way up North to family farm & holiday fun. Friendly, helpful folks and nice selection of literally Everything. Kiddos of all ages have fun too. Nice little camping must-haves. Good prices. Little gem in Park Rapids.

Great service! Worth the drive! I drove over 200 miles to Smokey hills to have a electronic bed lift installed in my ice cave when other dealers Wouldn’t even look at this ice house. The install looks factory and you can’t even tell they had the walls down to put supports in! The whole experience from start to finish was great! Don’t hesitate next time you need service work done on your ice house or camper bring it to Smokey hills!

You will not find a more experienced, knowledgeable, customer service centered sporting good store in the tri state area. As an avid hunter and fisherman, I am frequently in other big brand name stores, And not one can even compare to the customer service, and customer care that you get at Smoky Hills Outdoor Store. If the staff here cannot tell you something off of the top of their head, they will do the research, find the information and let you know as quick as they can. Forever a lifelong customer!
