They always have what I'm looking for, and plants are consistently successful for me. The staff member's have always, ALWAYS, been helpful and courteous.
They refurbished the check out area and made some improvements, it looks really nice. My only small gripe is the asphalt out front shopping area has seen some wear and tear, and it's rough when pushing your cart through. Tolerable, but it would be a big improvement if they smoothed that over a little bit.
I still love this place, I would highly recommend shopping here.

Huh? I don't get the guy who complained about getting fertilizer etc. They used to have a display of the bags with numbers on them, that was helpful. But if I'm not sure and want to check the prices etc., I drive around and take a look, then go inside and tell them what I want, pay for it and drive back and there's someone to help me load it in my car. Convenient and easy! Plant selection is better than it used to be also! Though getting used to the new arrangement inside will take some getting used to!

Great service. Big selection of everything but still feels like your in a smaller store. They also carry the hard to get stuff to.

I was looking for a lamp socket to repair a favorite old lamp. They didn't have it at the big box stores so I headed to McLendon Hardware in Sumner. I was amazed at the selection of sockets, knobs, chains, switches, and other lamp hardware to choose from. While I was searching for the part I needed a store associate walked down the aisle and asked if he could help. I showed him the part I needed and he found the replacement straight away. McLendon also offers a military discount.

Conveniently located nearby my work area and always have what I'm looking for. Staff are all fairly friendly and helpful. Personally haven't had any bad experiences on the handful of visits I've made here.

It's where you go when the big box store doesn't have itand doesn't plan on getting it. Great customer service.

I had kitchen sink replacement after visiting Home Depot 10 times, still couldn’t get the right part. I met Harvey in McLendon he was very professional and patient. He given me one shut off valve that completed my project in single trip.

Whenever I need something for my house this is my go-to spot! Wes is an incredible employee! He always has the answers to every question and has worked there for six years. It is a great place to go to!

April at the Summer store is a Rock Star!! Customer service extraordinaire!! We happened to buy the last fabric patio chair and wanted more. Without us asking she called other stores and found more in the color we wanted!! I can't remember the last time a store employee did that for me. Thank you April!!!

There is one thing that Mclendons always gets right is their product selection. One drawback to this is by having a large product selection they sometimes have a very limited supply of each product on hand so items are out of stock a little to often.
BUT, if you need a gadget for that thing that your remodeling they probably have it.
I think they are the only place I have ever seen a 4 switch and a duplex receptacle trim plate in black, ivory and I believe the white one was out of stock.
Anyhow, keep it up guys. Some times those hard to find items are needed and its nice to have a place locally that you can go and get friendly professional help to boot.

Best hardware store I am aware of in my area, speaking as an Auburn resident. Their garden section is out of control; huge selection, and maintained by someone that definitely has a green thumb. I've NEVER seen fuchsias like this at any other store. Like...dang. The thing barely fit in my car!

Very IMPRESSIVE selection of fasteners, WOW!!! Easily beats the selection of the big stores; you know the ones, McClendon has an aisle of metric, specialty, and stainless. Not just a couple drawers. I'll never waste my time again. Living on the lake requires a good selection of stainless equipment handy and McClendon definitely is the only place to go in these parts around Lake Tapps. Enjoy your trip.

Nice local hardware store offering all kinds of home improvement items. And a unique area with gifts, apparel and other odds and ends. Much prefer this than shopping at the big box competition.

Always friendly service everytime I've shopped at this store. On this particular visit, I forgot my mask in my car (it was raining), and there was a young lady sitting at the entry gate who offered me a mask, handing it to me with tongs. I was so glad I didn't have to walk back to my car in the rain. I have always had a good shopping experience here.

Always like shopping at McLendon. A lot easier to find things than at the big box hardware stores. I usually get better answers when I ask questions too.

Some interesting changes. New entrance and exit areas. The checkout seems more organized, that's a plus. Also the tool area is cleaned up a bit more

The ONLY real hardware store chain left. Not a Big Box very general supply on the shelf place. The people working here actually know what they are talking about. They have people who understand Plumbing, electrical and hardware. Great location.
