Good Books

Good Books is a quaint family-owned and operated book store located in a perfect, central location on Main St. in Cornwall, NY. It offers a wonderful and diverse selection of literature for all ages and reading levels. Our little ones always enjoy sitting on the comfy bean bags in the Children's section and exploring the world of reading. As a teacher, I have utilized their services to order classroom sets of books and found it both easy, and affordable. They also offer memberships to their store for additional savings. I highly recommend this delightful local shop whenever you pass by!

Good Books hosted a holiday meetup for our book club last month. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us. With only a few days notice, they stocked our next book club choice for each of our members. If you haven't stopped by, do so ASAP, it's a wonderful experience!

I love Good Books! Heather and Jason make you feel like you are walking into Cheers Bar and you are Norm! I asked Heather for a recommendation on the spot and her suggestion was the magic cure to get me out of a winter slump. Jason has ordered so many random books for me. I now own two Good Books totes and a coffee mug. I’m working on getting a beer stein! Cheers to Good Books!

A great place to visit while taking a stroll down historic Main St. in Cornwall! This locally-owned bookstore is SO cute and cozy! It’s beautifully designed and decorated with Scandinavian vibes - it feels bright, light, and airy (the kind of place I really enjoy spending time in!). It’s a great place to visit before or after a meal at Fiddlestix or Farmhouse Market. Kid friendly! I enjoyed cuddling up in a bean bag with my littles and reading them a few great books (really great children’s book selections!).

Really helpful staff and a decent variety of books - I nabbed a pretty hardcover Dickens collection at a discount here! Susan was very sweet and even reached out to send me the most recent newsletter since I had just signed up as a customer. I look forward to coming back!

Unbelievably friendly and family owned little book shop in a small town. I have gone in to find an old classic and new best sellers- it is a very well stocked shop but they are always willing to order something if they don’t have it. I’ve done that too, and I get a text within a few daysto say the book is in!

The owners and staff are all lovely, helpful, and great with book recommendations. My extended family already knows to get me gift certificates there and I can’t wait to attend some of their in-store events!
