Amma Halal Meat & Grocery Store

This store is new; I'll update my review once I visit it a few more times. However, it's a well-organized store with friendly staff, great halal meat, and various international products. They are yet to fill all the shelves. I will come back for more meat and grocery shopping.

Found out this place just by chance, as I had recently relocated to this area. The owner told me they opened the store 1.5 months ago. Everything was well organized, neat and clean, and wide variety of grocery items were available. Store is spaceous and well stocked. They have a great selection of meat. I just randomly bought the marinaded tandoori chicken to give it a try. Cooked it in my air fryer - the meat was very tender and fresh and bursting with great flavor. Overall, a very good experience. Will visit again.

First off let me just mention that the place is brand new and getting to where it will be full with items, the item selections are mostly Desi - Indian and Pakistani Halal food items such as spices, basmati rice, paratha, paneer, samosas, pakoras, seekh kabab, chai etc, the store is clean and the Pakistani owner is nice and helpful. I found everything I needed and the pricing was fair and non expensive. I’m glad to have a market where I can get South Asian food items and I can’t wait for it to be full with more stuff to try.

I was initially unsure about trying out this new store, but I’m happy I did— I will be coming back! My first impression upon walking in was how sweet and polite the staff is: they greeted me with smiles and were very helpful.

Regarding the store overall, I really appreciate how clean it was. I can tell the staff regularly check and maintain the aisles as needed, and their organization meant I could find everything I needed quickly. Finally, this selection of halal groceries in this part of LA is truly unmatched. They have a great variety of both food and snacks, and I’m glad to see this business contribute to halal eating. For a new location, they’re doing a great job, and I’m looking forward to coming back soon!

Amma has an amazing collection of desi foods and snacks. The store is very clean, the staff is super friendly, and products are well organized. Don’t forget to check out the mural inside the store - it’s really cool!
