Mother's Market & Kitchen

My husband and I were looking for a place that offered a relaxed, casual atmosphere with healthy dining options, and Mother’s Market consistently meets these criteria. It holds a special place in our hearts as it was one of my mom’s favorite spots to eat. Despite dealing with numerous medical issues and food allergies, she always felt safe at Mother’s Market. Many cherished memories of having lunch and hot tea with her here flood my mind whenever I visit here.

Lunchtime can get a bit crowded, but finding a table or booth is usually not a problem, given the many seating options. The dining area is small and cozy, yet you never feel uncomfortably close to others.

The menus are thoughtfully marked, indicating which items are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and organic—something I greatly appreciate due to my many allergies. While I did have a few questions, the waitress was incredibly kind and took the time to research everything I needed. I felt completely at ease!

I opted for the Loaded Nachos with corn chips, black beans, cheese, and sour cream—all gluten-free. You can customize the dish to make it vegan. The nachos were generously portioned and served as a satisfying and hearty snack for my lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am considering adding chicken next time for a bit of variety. The dish comes with salsa and avocado, but I had them served on the side due to my allergies to avocados and tomatoes.

My husband ordered the Chilaquiles and described it as tasty. The dish featured corn tortillas, Chile and tomatillo sauce, two sunny-side-up eggs, feta cheese, sour cream, and cilantro. He also added my portion of avocado, which I can't eat, and it looked fantastic.

For beverages, my husband chose black tea, and I opted for water. The warm black tea was a perfect choice on the overcast, cool day.

The service staff is consistently kind and friendly, making each visit a nice experience for us.

A wonderful location to find wholesome, natural foods of all sorts, including desserts. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful. A little pricey but you pay more for higher quality goods.

I've been shopping at this Mother's Market for many years. Always clean and friendly and the best quality food around. They also have a nice little restaurant and an outdoor area to eat and hang out at. I wish every store had mostly organic options.

I love ❤ Mother’s Market in Brea. They have very high quality food & items. Their cafe has delicious food. They carry many vegan options. My favorite section is the Vitamin Department because the Vitamin Manager Marlene is very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. All the employees are so nice & make you feel valued. I highly recommend this market.👍

Needed to restock my Vitamin and Minerals and decided to go to Mother's Market, it's kitty corner from my housing tract so it made sense to me. How the product manufacturers I was looking for and what I needed and their price was spot on...... My new go to store

Please bring the tempeh back in the kitchen! Hannah makes the best vanilla lattes…Great organic cuisine. Inferno wrap with side yams with the cilantro sauce goes hard.

I've found this market is the best for organic foods,fresh veggies, many different herbs and supplements, hair care, make up, dog/cat food....many other items....
Worth visiting and shopping.

SUCH good quality and selection. All I eat is USDA organic or Non-gmo label foods. They have really good, practical options here. One of those people who does not mind paying more for good quality. The atmosphere and mindset of this store is that you are getting homemade food and items fresh from someone's farm :) . Everything looks so natural and robust.

My favorite Mother’s location. Great selection, nice staff, and they carry the Living Hummus Wraps which I haven’t found at three other locations :(. Hope to see more raw food options.

I love this store but the One in Santa Ana on Main street in Back of CHOC is a bigger Store than this One. I love Mother's Market for the hard to find Organic and Vegan items. They are also Spanish Speaking Managers and Upper level Staff. The best Organic La Fe Tortillas but terrible plastic bag they come in, I can't close it back and Remember they have different Brands of Corn Tortillas but the Best are " La Fe " No Sugar 0g .No one else carries these Tortillas. The best Organic Sea Salt. The Organic Almond drink is cheaper here $1.99. They juice your own fruit you buy here. Prices are higher on selective items.The hotdog chicken Organic franks absolutely delicious No other Market sells them. The White Organic Hot Dog Buns yummy No One Else has them. Organic White Hamburger Buns . For my Vegan ppl this place is good 👍 Organic Vitamins this is the place . Raw supplements 👌 Alot of the items I buy have either Zero sugar with No hidden sugar ingredients. I'll post pictures of ingredients for you guys. I understand alot of beautiful people can't go to stores and do all this specially if you guys are in wheel chair but No worries 😘

I was there today to buy some vitamins which I have very limited knowledge of. Christna approached me and gave me lots of recommendation and information. She was very professional and friendly. I ended up buying 4 different types of vitamins and feeling confident. Thank you 🤗

My favorite place to shop! Great gluten free options, delicious drinks, wide selection of supplements, and very thoughtful associates. I've never had a bad experience at this location - in fact, I always leave smiling!

This is a great place to find healthy, natural, or organic food. Besides the grocery store, there is a kitchen where you can dine in and a fresh juice bar. My spouse and I come here more for the kitchen than anything else. Since she's a vegetarian, she has many options there. One of her absolute favorites is the chili and cornbread, which I do have to admit is pretty damn good. Two of my favorite dishes are the tuna melt (which is one of the few items with meat in it) and the French toast (breakfast is served all day). I've never been disappointed with the food there.

The only juice I've tried from the juice bar is a drink called the Cold Comfort. It's $5 for about 8 ounces of fresh carrot juice, ginger, ginseng, and cayenne pepper. It's meant to provide relief when you're sick. I was sick when I tried it, and man, it's potent stuff. From my first sip, it was a flavor explosion in my mouth and instantly cleared up my sinuses. It was tough to drink because the taste was so strong, but it did make me feel better.

Always had delicious choices of fresh food to choose from. Love their waldorf chicken salad

One of the servers Garrett served me and my family on Friday afternoon and he was very hospitable, joyful, and helpful for their first time.😊 he was extremely gracious and warm to us! Me and my family all ordered different food but everyone was happy! I really appreciated it for my families first time! I love this location and the taste of the food in the market (deli area) and cafe does not disappoint!

Some call this place "Upscale Hippie" heaven, it's small and not inexpensive by any means.The have specials and select floral and green options.

Customer service, fresh foods and trying a smoothie at the cafe inside will more than satisfy the most discerning vegetarian. I was surprised to find a gluten-free and vegan offerings. Thanks.

Excellent neighborhood market in this shopping center on the east side of Brea. Mother's has a new location in Corona Del Mar called Mother's California Market---charming.

First time for breakfast. Omelettes very fluffy and delicious! Very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. You can really see by their mannerism that they are grateful for their job and they enjoy it. Thank you for constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. I definitely want to go back.

Best organic market around. WF is fake healthy and sprouts is 50/50 but Mother’s is the OG in SoCal
