Fastenal. What a misnomer for this store. For a company that specializes in fasteners this mob is barking up the wrong tree. The frustration starts with employees who couldn't care less whether you are actually finding what you are needing. Customer satisfaction: ZERO. There are not a single 10.8 grade stock item to be found anywhere, they do not even attempt to keep it. They do not not stock anything beyond the very standard stuff you could find at the ACE Hardware store down the road. They keep less than 1/10th of their catalog items in stock. Lead time on anything ordered varies between 3 days, to a week. You'll be better off going to NAPA, ACE Hardware or one of the automotive stores just a little down the road. Then there is the little matter of cost. This store is significantly more expensive on any item than their competitors. If ever there's a store that deserves to go out of business, it's this mob.

This should be the best place to get hardware in town but sadly it isn't. Their inventory is very slim and they just do not have much in the way of quality pieces. If you need good quality high grade steel this is not the place, you will be ordering everything.

Terrible service at fastenal, first the person behind the counter was not very knowledgeable about any of the products they had in the store, second when they finally did get what they thought was the right bolts their card machine declined both of my cards which i then drove to my bank and withdrew money from the same card. When i arrived back and paid for the items i only made it a little ways down the road before i realized they had given me the wrong bolts, i took them back, which they did not have what i needed at that point. apparently someone had put those bolts in the wrong bin and they couldn't get any in until monday. I left and bought the bolts i needed at murdochs only to find that the nuts that the fastenal person given me were m14s and i had bought m12 bolts, they cannot even match the bolts with the right nuts at this fastener store, I will not be going back anytime soon it is far easier, less stressful and less running around to go to one of the other hardware or auto part stores.

Unfortunately this company is extremely hesitant to answer there phones during there work hours.
