Rainbow Gardens

Sorry for the late post, it's been a long afternoon in the yard. The service I received at Rainbow Gardens is next level. I never spend more than 5 minutes in an aisle without an educated guide to offer assistance, truly! So, holli assisted me and basically read my mind. She asked me all the questions about the soil I was hoping to transfer plants to, and whether I was intending to introduce this into my home and later the outdoors... so many questions I never really knew needed to be answered, and she explained why.

With regard to value: I've had 2/8 trees and shrubs die from rainbow gardens. The two died during the scorching drought.

We were referred by Kabayan Resto owner to Rainbow Gardens… and so off we went. We were not disappointed; we found succulent varieties that we don’t have yet. A staff named Billy gave us tips on growing succulents. He was apologetic though that their succulents were not that many. Looking around, there was a varied array of plants - flowering, ornamentals, herbs and many other types. The store carries garden essentials from rakes to soils. They even sell cute mini-figurines and Mexican decorative ceramic pots. The cashiers were friendly and patient with me. What a pleasant plant shopping experience we had at Rainbow Garden. We will definitely return here!

Stopped by on the weekend to pick up few plants and small trees. Very large selection of different plants and varieties of the same plant. I only planned to be there about 15 minutes, but easily spent an hour browsing and picking up more than I planned.

There's so many options whether it's an annual, perennial, small, large, horizontal, vertical, flowery, greenery, etc... There's also nice garden accessories, decorations, soils, mulch, etc... If you're looking to any garden work, they'll have everything you need. Also, very friendly and helpful staff throughout the grounds.

Been coming here since I was little, and I can honestly say this the best nursery you'll ever visit.
Tons of butterflies flood in every spring, always great customer service, and great prices on all their plants🥰
I literally go here every paycheck just to pick up some more of their itty bitties💜

Today I went to Rainbow Gardens to check on a plant I had requested but not yet received. First of all that appears to be a wonderful service, to be notified when a plant is available. After inquiring about the plant with Claire, I mentioned that I needed some plants for a shady area and wondered about Hostas. I use a walker so mobility is an issue. She led me to the correct section of the garden along paved walks, stayed and gave advice, and assisted me returning to check out. After that she carried my purchases to my car. That assistance and service is rare and greatly appreciated! She is a valuable employee!

We love this nursery. Everyone is very helpful.
Plenty of plants and shrubs and gardening soil. Ask for Craig or Aaron or Patrick cuz they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very friendly. We also got a sweet smile with Myrna our very helpful cashier. Beautiful people and beautiful plants.

This is one of the best gardening centers in the area. I drive about an hour just to visit and purchase gardening supplies, plants, herbs, seeds and flowers. They have a huge selection of plants and trees. Everything is reasonably priced. They also have a Koi pond and a beautiful butterfly garden. Everything is beautiful there. Definitely will become a favorite of yours once you visit. Grab a friend and make a day trip of it.

Beautiful garden center! 😍 This is a fabulous place for the whole family. There's a lot to see and the outdoors stands are a wonderful bonus. We really enjoyed sitting by the Koi pond as well 😊 there's a huge selection on plants, shrubs, herbs, and everything in between. Even some of the harder to find plants can be found here. We could easily spend the whole day here. I also want to add that the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I can't picture anything better than Rainbow Gardens, definitely a must see!

I love the selection here. They have so many native Texas plants that you can't go wrong, even if you're a gardener with a much, much less than green thumb. I also love that they have large sinage that shows you the type of sun the plants can tolerate, the types of pollinators they attract and the herbivores that wouldn't want to eat it. The staff is also very helpful and nice.

Pretty big garden with good selection of plants , herbs , decor , bird feeder . I got Cuban Oregon which I couldn’t find any where near my place, and also a flowering plant , they were selling ladybugs 🐞, praying mantis, some more garden friendly insects too , not sure about the pricing whether I paid higher or nominal . Prices were according to size of the pot .

I do not have a green thumb and generally have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to plants, but we’re getting by ready to sell our home and need to fill our flower beds. I am SO thankful that Aaron knew what he was doing, and he gave us so many great suggestions, and even helped us load up our carts.

We ended up stayed after close to make our selections and both Aaron and Myrna were so pleasant and helpful! If we weren’t moving out of state, I would definitely be coming back!

Friendly service, expert advice and a very well stocked inventory. If there is a better nursery in SA, I haven't seen it. Education in gardening on the regular at both locations.

This is the bigger of the 2 Rainbow Gardens in San Antonio.

They had a beautiful variety as well as some plants that I haven't really seen anywhere else.

I found an Angel wings plant ! I've been wanting one for awhile. It's a beautiful all white plant. They have a nice clean bathroom there.

So many carts for use and so much to see. It's hot outside so stay hydrated babies!

My goddess the best experience in my life about attitude, customer service!! She give me summer discount!! I love ❤ visit because not only the prices!!! Cashiers customers service and gardeners employees!! Gorgeous attitude!!!

•I didn't realize this place was so big!
•There was a wide variety of plants and I was so tickled to see them all. They had everything I needed to make my terrarium and I bought an extra plant just-because.
• I found 2 employees that were able to help me & they were so sweet and helpful. There was a long line for the outside registers (Saturday afternoon) but the line went very quickly. They were really hustling to get customers out in a timely fashion. Super nice!
