Went there with a friend. Not only was the owner funny but he was quite knowledgeable about the different types and brands of wine and champagne. He knew quite a bit about the various spirits (vodka, bourbon, etc.) that I asked about as well. It was a pleasure to shop there. I can’t wait until my next visit to City Island!

The one-stop-shop of the island for your wine and liquor desires. Wine of pretty much any quality and price. Same with liquors, with a few hidden gems peppered about (if you like whisky look up and right when you walk in). Heavy island vibe, which is what we want here, and an owner that will make you smile. Great shop, great people, great prices.

This is a great local place on City Island. People complain about prices. What is the value of convenience? The owner is an engaging character and make a stop at JGL worth it.
