I wanted to publicly thank this pharmacy for being open on Christmas Day (our usual one was closed), for having 3 windows open, and for somehow getting through a line of about 15 people in 30-40 minutes. On top of that, they were calm, kind, and professional even while I watched multiple patrons acting pretty rudely towards them. So grateful for our experience today, thank you for your service to our community!

24 Hour Pharmacy and store. I was out much too late and knew better. So trouble found its way but San Carlos Police Dept were on the scene promptly. They and Walgreens staff were great about keeping me safe when

This has to be the worst pharmacy on the peninsula. Do not come here unless you have lots of time. You can either camp in the drive up line or stand inside, both require patience and possibly a book to read. Their pharmacy staff is not terribly helpful or friendly. My husband has pulled his scripts from here and we have gone to Rite Aid and are much happier.

NO stars would be accurate. Pharmacy is understaffed. Staff is overworked, leading to MAJOR delays, errors, and general incompetence. After waiting 45 minutes to check in for my vaccination appointment, Felix, the "testy" Pharmacy Tech, DISAPPEARED WITHOUT EXPLANATION, right in the middle of checking me in. Nobody else came to take over--while SIX people waited in line behind me. After waiting for 30 minutes, I managed to get the attention of another pharmacy worker, who completed checking me in (but she registered me for the wrong vaccine!). I think Felix went to lunch, unannounced--the nurse administering vaccines said this had occurred 2 days in a row--he simply disappeared in the middle of helping customers, leaving people standing and waiting, with no idea what to expect or when. The nurse administered the correct vaccine, but told me to return to the registration window to get corrected paperwork...and stand in line for another 30 minutes! Egregious!
This occurred between 12:10 and 2:00 p.m. on 10/13/2023--Friday the 13th!

In August, I waited 45 minutes behind a single car in the drive thru to pick up medication for severe food poisoning. It turned out that the person staffing the drive thru had "left to administer vaccines." When she finally returned and served the car in front of me, I advanced to the window, only to be told "We are closed for lunch, now...come back in 90 minutes." I was furious! When I returned 2 hours later, I had to wait another 25 minutes.
This place is shameless! Yesterday's visit was my last--I never will go to this place again. Their understaffing, slow "service," and utter incompetence is historic--been dealing with it for years!

Listen, does this Walgreens suck? Yes. But that's probably not the fault of the kid at the register ringing up your prescriptions, so maybe be a little more respectful and cut them some slack. It's the fault of management and Walgreens corporate who won't staff the store correctly leading to long wait times and poor quality.

Complain to them. Stop screaming at the sales associates. It's tacky.

Felix put me on hold for 30 min 4x and never answered the phone! Sarah told me lies for 3 days and never had ordered my Medicine or reached out to my doctor. I have been super patient with this location and never get upset even helping them with unruly customers while they have been a bad pharmacy. I know it’s not their fault they are working but please don’t lie to us anymore to get us off the phone or to give you an extra day! Being nice isn’t working anymore!

Walgreens used to be 10X better than other pharmacies but in 2022 Walgreens has sunk to ZERO (0) stars. Employee morale must be negative 24/7. Short-staffed. Major mistakes are being made. They called us to let us know our medicine was ready for pickup. I tried...let me repeat that - I can in to pick the order up 2 hours after that call only to be told that the order was NOT ready and that i could wait another 45 mins before their lunch break was over. Then they tried to give me the incorrect dosages! Unbelievable.

Do not go here any longer they lost l of my trust !!!

I’ve always had long wait times at this pharmacy. Both the in-store line and the drive thru often take 30-45 minutes, with just 4-5 people ahead of me. A few times is understandable but every time means that the pharmacy isn’t equipped to handle its customer volume.
I’ve also tried calling them on several occasions on different days and different times but after being on hold for 10-20 minutes, my call gets hung up and no one has ever answered. I’d suggest getting your prescriptions at other pharmacies and to stay away from this one.

Do not go here. They have no idea what is going on and mess prescriptions up constantly. All three people in line had theirs messed up and it was chaos.

This is a terrible place for picking up your medications, drive-thru lines are typically super long and they don't care about their service speed. They can and very likely get stuck in serving one single customer. If they cannot solve the problem, they will simply keep waiting until either the problem magically solved on its own or the customer gives up no matter how long the line is. Last time I went there, they served a single customer for over 1 hour while 10+ cars are waiting behind. I was number 5 in the line and waited 2 hours to get my prescription. Everyone was so upset and they simply made no accommodations to fix the issue. When I asked their staff why they always seemed so short-staffed, they said the place was so bad that no one even would consider to work there. I feel some employees there are very incompetent and don't have the necessary skills to work there. I've been to many Walgreens but none of them had such a hard time getting a simple prescription right.

If you have to choose between death and going here, choose death. Stay. Away. They will mess EVERYTHING up. This is, without a doubt, single-handedly, by far, the sorriest excuse for a pharmacy I have ever seen. Do NOT go here. Don’t believe me? Try calling. No answer ever. Lines long. And they will never, ever, ever do what they tell you they are going to do. I’m hearing a woman crying right now because she’s been begging for her medication for hours. It’s like they honestly take pleasure in screwing you over. Once you wait in line, they will have you go stand in another line and ignore you, to your face, until they feel like talking to you. Each visit here is at least an hour long. Usually 1.5 hours.

I can’t believe this is legal. They’ve lied to me several times. Actively making getting my medication harder than necessary. STAY AWAY!!!

Do NOT come here for COVID tests or anything pharmacy related. I can only describe the service speed as glacial. Made an appointment for a drive-thru COVID test at 11am and when I arrived there were 5 vehicles in front of me. An hour later and I was still waiting in line behind another car. Rather than wait another 10-15 mins for that car to get attended to and then spend 15 mins on me, I scheduled an appointment at the middle school down the road (Curative) and literally had my test booked and done within 2 mins. I was probably done before the car in front of me. COVID tests literally do not take longer than a couple minutes to perform, so it astounds me that Walgreens took a whole hour for 5 vehicles. Would give this Walgreens 0 stars if I could.

If I could give Minus Stars, I would. I've been to this pharmacy twice this week. First time I had to wait over an hour and one half! The narcotic drug for my husband who had out-patient surgery that day was "locked up" and I totally understand that...but an hour and a half! Yesterday, the doctor sent over the prescription for an antibiotic for my husband while we were still in his office. The line when I arrived at the pharmacy was about 8 people long and ONLY ONE cashier. She NEVER called for backup! She just told a customer that "well, the line is long". Same cashier said that it would be 15 to 20 minutes when I finally got to the front! I was furious. The screen that used to show a person's name when a prescription was ready...is broken! So, fix it already. And, why do they have 3 registers (4 including the drive up!?!?!?! Come on Walgreen's get someone to fix the inadequacies at this and your other pharmacies!

Wish I could give less than 1 star. I dropped my prescription off and then waited over 2 HOURS for them to fill it. There was 1 pharmacist for the line of 15 people. I will say that the lady who looked to be in charge was nice but you could tell that she was completely overwhelmed. I will never, ever make the mistake of coming here again for prescriptions.

WORST pharmacy experience ever! Would give ZERO star if there’s the option. I had to wait in line for HOURS while there were only 5ppl ahead of me. Do not come unless you want to stand in line for hours.
