What a fun place! Located in the heart of, historic, Columbia State Park. So many fun things to do in town but a stop here is a necessity! The fruit jellies are amazing and made in house. Most (if not all) their chocolates are made there too. Dipped honeycomb, chocolate caramel marshmallow bars!!!, and the lemon drops…. Mmmmm. You have got to swing by and check it out. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Probably the best candy store I’ve ever been to in my life!!!!😋 their almond bark is so good! Their milk chocolate is so subtle but so so so good! Their peanut brittle is oh so yummy! If you get diabetes from this store it’s actually worth it lol jk jk! But in all seriousness it is so worth it to make a stop here when you are in this beautiful little town.

We watched traditional candy making in action through the store's large front windows then stopped in to get some candy for ourselves. Delicious! We sampled a variety and our favorite was the chocolate coated "honeycomb". We were a bit surprised it's not actual honeycomb inside but rather a sponge sugar. Still, very tasty.

Wow wow wooowwww 🤤🤤🤤 Oh my goodness I cannot express enough praises! All the chocolates are to die for, me and my friend spent almost $40 purchasing a variety of candy for ourselves and as gifts for others. The Turtles were the best I've ever had, I'll be dreaming about the coconut brittle the rest of my life, and the fudge, wish I had gotten more! Staff were so sweet and friendly, so so happy I was recommended this shop by a local, and cannot wait to go back.

Absolutely love this place. Prices are totally reasonable with excellent quality chocolate and candies. The honeycomb is definitely one of my favorites and I have never had a bad experience. I always recommend because not only are the food and prices excellent but the general atmosphere of old Columbia makes everything so much more of an experience!

Just like walking back in time to the frontier days. A visit to town would mean a visit to the Sweet shop if the kids had been well behaved. Immersed in all of these beautiful candies, it is very difficult to not over indulge. but hey, if you're going to eat candy, eat the good stuff and this is exactly that!

This is a treasure. They make much of their candy and have recipes as old as the little town of Columbia. Their ribbon candy, peanut brittle and dark chocolate covered almonds with sea salt are some of our favorites. Their fruit jellies and clove flavored hard candies are delicious too!

The best candy shop around. Quality chocolates that are hand-dipped! Hard candy and jellies!! You need to try the Pine Nut Rolls! So delicious!

Nelson's was recommended by someone from Sonora. We're SO glad we made the short trek (on the pouring rain)!!! I wanted just one or two truffles for V Day. Their selections and quality is really, really good! My honey and I ended up buying a TON. LOL! Highly recommend!

A bit pricey but so worth it.

On my first trip to Columbia State Historic Park, some of our teachers did not expect us to buy so much candy. Once we noticed the Columbia Candy Kitchen Inc, almost everyone had to buy a bag of candy. I bought three of the biggest rock candy balls I had ever seen. One of my friends dared me to stuff one in my mouth: it barely fit. About an hour later, the rock candy melted enough I could get it out. My jaw hurt so much, I could not talk. However, another hour later, I had another one in my mouth.
Oh, the joy to be a stupid kid.

A great atmosphere. Very traditional and the rocky road is so delicious. What a process in production!
Demonstrated through the window, you can catch batches of different candies being poured and made!

No doubt the best candy anywhere in the U.S. coast to coast, north to south. Nelson's cannot be beat! The honeycomb is my favorite, close second are the opera caramels.
