Clean well stocked , good lighting. Friendly staff who will actual take your cart to your car and return it for you. This is a newer location, it used to be closer to downtown.

Handicapped parking and door access.

Love that they have a bakery here !Best white loaf 🍞. Perfect consistency and makes the best toast. Lol it's the little things.

Super friendly employees and excellent meat department. The store is limited on selection in health and beauty, which is their only draw back. Their online shopping is so easy and the people picking your items really pay attention to instructions you leave

Everyone very helpful. All wore masks. Carts were sanitized. Excellent shopping experience. My first time there.

Great store. This is the perfect size grocery store. It is big enough to have a good selection, while not so big that you need a nap halfway through.

As always - the store is clean, the shelves are well stocked, & all the employees are friendly & more than willing to help you in any way they possibly can - all with a warm & friendly 🙂 smile on their face.
I live in a small town that has a Walmart about the same distance away as this Fareway, but I still prefer coming down to this store in lieu of going to Walmart. Main reason being - Walmart is usual a mess & hard to get around to what you need due to the aisles being full of boxes of items that need put on shelves. This makes it hard for a person that is disabled & trying to shop using an electric cart ! Or trying to get to an item that you can't get to bcuz of the boxes being in the way ! They shouldn't bring them out till they are ready to be stocked on the shelves, or done at night like they used to do !

We love fareway but just wish they had a larger selection of some items. They have a small selection of specific categories of items. If you're needing something specific, odds are they don't have it. Their meats are always amazing though, I think that's why they're still in business. What's up with the funky smell that every fareway has?

The kids at the checkout counter seemed to have a good sense of humor. One of my items did not have any price or barcode. You know that I'm no good it's free and they ran with it.

We love Fareway! Great prices, very familiar, great selection, live the produce & great meat department. We've been coming to Winterset every summer & winter break for 8 years and we always know we can count on Gateway.

Fareway is a great place to shop. They have been in Winterset for as long as i can remember. They have the best meat department of any grocery store in Iowa i think. They have a huge variety of food. They have great sales every week and they rarely run out of their sale items. The produce is fresh and doesnt look like its a day from going in the garbage. Fareway is my favorite place to grocery shop. I just wish they were open alittle later at nite. They are always busy and the building is easy to see from the Hyway. The building out there is still really new. Around 7 or 8 years they have been out there. Workers are polite and always willing to help you find what yer looking for.

Friendly helpful service. We do have a HyVee store in town but have checked their prices and on most things they are higher. Needless to say I just shop Fareway.
