Son Of Thurman Galena

My husband, sister and brother-in-law and I came here a few weeks ago for dinner and it was soooo good. We previously had a great experience at Thurman downtown, so we knew we’d have a similarly awesome time at this spot. The food was delicious and service was awesome! For apps we split the garlic parmesan and buffalo wings, along with the fried pickles and we were all very happy with these choices. The burgers are (obviously) the stars of the show but I really enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich and my sister liked the cheese pizza thin too. We also enjoyed the overall vibe of the place and clearly the local folks do as well. My husband and I, who live locally, will be back soon!

The wife wanted a good cheese burger for mothers day so we tried this place out. We weren't disappointed, and the burgers were awesome. With this being our first time we tried the original and holy cow, it was huge. The flavor was awesome, and even the kids liked the burgers. I like to try onion rings wherever I go, and the rings here are worth it. The place had great service, and the Tempe was just right.We will be back.

Went to SOT on 7/6 for my wife's birthday as she had family in and wanted someplace with an upbeat atmosphere. Walked in after a recent downpour and asked if the patio was open, 2 waitresses looked at each other, saying it was wet and it may rain again. Another waitress said give me a minute and I will go wipe them down. 6 of us had burgers, I had the Thurman pictured. They were excellent and cooked to our requests! Fried pickles and onion rings were exceptional as well! Didn't get our waitress name as a family member followed her inside to pay the tab for my wife's birthday but she went out of her way for us and anyone who gets her is lucky! Will be going back!.

Quirky, laid back hamburger joint in a quaint area of Galena. The burgers are HUGE, the fries are cooked perfectly and the cheese dip and house made tortilla chips are the bomb! Great music and friendly staff make for a fun experience. Only complaint is that it was c-o-l-d in there.

Great food. Fast service. Loved the cold beer. Burgers were hot and fresh. Delicious. SOT Italian sub is the best my husband has had in years. White pizza was absolutely delicious. The chicken salad sandwich is one of the best I've ever.

Perfect experience! Friendly staff and patient as we tried to narrow down our choices. The chicken salad was fresh and plentiful- burgers are huge and enough fries to share.

The Location is easy to get in and out of and we don't have to drive too far to get there. Great addition to this area for sure.

This was our second time in. It is every bit as good as the downtown Delaware location but without the wait. I had the Ruben sandwich (I know I should had a burger) but their Ruben sandwich is awesome. Wifie had a salad which looked really good for a salad. The french fries were great. We will be back.

I've been very impressed with this location. I most recently enjoyed the ranch burger and although their ranch dressing alone is not very good - this burger was amazing! The beef patty itself was perfectly cooked medium with a push, expertly seasoned and flavorful to the extreme. I could have eaten it sooner - The toppings were just a bonus. Served with this burger were onion straws which were also good - and a hearty portion. Service was stellar especially considering we were a party of 4 adults and 6 kids.

Service and food were excellent! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. And yes, we got burgers. Big ones!

Okay dude straight up this place totally rocks! I've been to the Delaware location a few times and the original in German Village a lot and those are awesome too but this one is pretty new so I had to give it a go and I can honestly say that it wasn't disappointing at all! The food was delicious and we got it pretty quickly considering how muhb food we ordered. It's not cheap we spent close to over 70 on lunch after tip and all that but everything was hot and it all tasted fresh. The establishment itself was extremely clean and looks very invitiny. The service was alright I guess I kind of felt a little bit rushed and I wss there around 230 so I dodnt think that was necessary since they closed way later but I'll let it go this time. That's annoying but what can you do? Some people don't like getting tipped as well as others I suppose. Regardless the experience was nice and I'd come back again especially if I was I the area. If you never been you should give them a try you won't regret it.

Do you want a big burger? This is the place for you! 3/4 pound burgers with several variations. Both the fries and three chips were also good. Chips were kettle chips of some type. Fries were tasty but ours were perhaps overcooked by a few seconds, but they were still good. Ordered "medium-well" came out a solid "well".

I had lunch here today and had the best burger of my life! The meat is so flavorful and the fries were hand cut! Our server was Amy and she was THE BOMB! Thank you for the delicious food and top-shelf service!!

Very nice place. I was expecting it to be the same as Thurman cafe, and it didn't disappoint me. Was expecting dollar bills like Thurman cafe, but it was still nice. Highly recommend stopping in for a Thurman burger.

Food was delicious. Our waitress was the best ever. If you don't find something you like, you aren't hungry. Reuben Balls to die for.

Food was great. It was very busy due to Saint Patrick's Day but everything was good!

This is just a great place to grab a drink and get some food. Full size wings and a very tasty reaper sauce to go with it.

Delicious juicy burgers, cold beer, a back patio. Yea can’t ask for much more! I got the French onion burger which was really good, though too big to actually finish.

Great spot in Galena. The food was good, beer selection was decent and our server was very friendly and helpful. They have a great patio and an awesome bar area.

Awesome burgers! My wife got the turkey Reuben and it was also very tasty. I will definitely be coming back.

Spotless... excellent service... quality food with layers of flavor. Pictures tell a thousand words. Need I say more.
