Don Juan Mexican Restaurant

This place is a real gem! The food is consistently delicious and the service is the absolute best! I’ve been coming here for years and I’m always treated like family every time I go. The owner is also known to be very kindhearted, humble and extremely generous in the community, helping with cancer fundraisers and other needs. I cannot recommend this place enough! Enjoy the most delicious Mexican food and in turn support generous, hardworking, kind, local people at the same time. Now that’s a meal you can really feel good about!

There are so many good Mexican food restaurants in Northern Colorado so standing out is difficult. Don Juan’s stands out as one of the very best. The service is quick and friendly, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back for more wonderful food.

The food was outstanding, as was the service. Our waitress noticed the greeting cards on the table and asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. It was my birthday, so I got fried ice cream and a Sombrero to wear while happy birthday was sung. So special! ❤

Authentic and very fair priced. Large quantities. 10 out of 10 !! I had the Mexican Jambalaya.

6-17-74 is my birthday and my husband and my mom and I had the best lunch ever on my birthday today at Don Juan’s! Jorge is a wonderful wonderful wonderful man! The food was outstanding. My mom was treated like royalty and as always the best experience every time we go!!! Jorge, I don’t know how to keep leaving reviews. I have to keep editing this one and put the date on it because I guess Google is telling me I live too many reviews for you. I can’t leave enough reviews for you because every time is like a brand new experience because Something Happens and makes it spectacular! Thank you very much for the best birthday lunch I’ve ever had! You took care of us beyond what could have ever been expected! You are the best. I do not know how you do your chicken, but your chicken is better than I think I can even make chicken! Thank you for being a part of the best birthday I’ve ever had!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This is one of the first places I've had the pleasure to visit recently that prepared & cooked Chilequiles correctly; finally, a good flavorful soak on those fried corn tortilla pieces! And the Italian margarita was perfect, only wish it was bigger & I do prefer more salt/sugar on the rim. Waiter was very attentive & great with our talkative son. The owner came around & checked on patrons as well. The music had me doing my "happy hungry" seated shimmy. Left full & satisfied overall.

Roberto was our waiter. Amazing service and very professional. It was refreshing to have someone who is good at their job assisting our meal. The food was very flavorful and filling. My new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Food was plentiful and tasted great. Fast and attentive service. Prices were reasonable. Plenty of parking.

My boyfriend and I go here once a month for a date night. One of my favorite places to go! So many options to pick a favorite but the food is so good!

This is a real gem! 5 stars all the way around. Flavors spoke for themselves, and each dish was unique. The customer service was spot on. Stop by and experience this great Mexican restaurant.

We left Fritzler corn maze and were starving. The servers were young but very on point. We decided to stop here because of the reviews. The food didn't disappoint. We were a party of 6, and everyone said the food was great. We also had two house margaritas. They were very heavy pours! I'll definitely go back.

Authentic, delicious, and homey. Right when I was about to give up on Mexican food in Colorado, Don Juan swoops in and cements itself as my FAVORITE local restaurant. I almost over did it with the chips. I filled up half way on the free stuff, then got blown away by the quality of the REAL FOOD.

It was so good I almost forgot to take a picture (sorry about that). The register guy was extremely professional and the waitress was the kind of woman you'd trust looking after your kids. It was so clean and homey that I almost didn't want to leave.

Don't let the location scare you away from this gem. Every best friend I've had between 3rd grade and college was mexican. I KNOW mexican food. Don't waste money on Taco Dell. THIS, is the real deal.

I am always on the lookout for a better place to eat. Privately owned restaurants are the best, especially family owned. This is definitely one of the best! Carne Asada and Chile Rellenos are my favorite, and they were awesome.
My drink never got empty, the food was super hot and exactly as I ordered. Excellent flavor, and even homemade hot sauce! The guacamole was honestly some of the best I've had. The staff was awesome. We arrived when it was busy, and waited only a few minutes. This is a great place.

This place is wonderful. Tonight was our first visit and we plan on coming back regularly. Everything here is made from scratch. Everything taste authentic and fresh. Their prices are quite affordable. You pay the same here as 3 margaritas, but the food is ten times better. The atmosphere is great. The lighting isn't too din, but you don't feel like you're in a Walmart. The place is well kept. No rips in the booths or chairs. And very clean. The decorations are pleasant and but overdone. And the music isn't too loud. There is even strategicly placed sound proofing that is inconspicuous, which prevents the space from sounding hollow and loud. The bar is in a separate area, which is nice because it's not distracting (even from the booths closest to the bar). The margaritas are pretty tasty and very affordable at $5.50. This place is amazing! I don't often rave about a restaurant, but you can really tell that there is a lot of pride in the ownership of this restaurant.

Their fried smother chile rellenos are very delicious
Their combo fajitas are fabulous! The steak in it is different that what you were order as an entree.

Updated: the event we book Don Juan for was a success! They served really great food, the owner an staff member were amazing. Everyone ate everything there was nothing left! 10/10 recommend.
Probably the best experience ever. Litteraly left in awe by the incredible experience! The owner is such a genuine person! We are booking Don Juan for an event an are super excited for it.

Chicken fajitas! The BEST fajitas in all of Colorado! Served with their delicious rice & beans. If you choose the fajitas, you've made the right choice!

First visit. Came on a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. I had the zarapes. Rice was the only miss (very little flavor) but the rest was fabulous. Such a large portion, too. Will definitely come back.

Ordered catering and it was fantastic. Portions were large. The person delivering it was respectful and insisted he take his shoes off before coming in. He was mindful of the flow of the food and was so helpful in where he thought things should to make it comfortable in our home.
