The View Cafe

It's a nice scenic drive if you're looking to get out of coeur d'alene, Post Falls traffic. The View Restaurant has a great local feel, service is friendly and food came fast, this to me means they are in top of their quantity of food. Biscuits are huge and pop with a great flavor and texture, eggs cooked perfectly. I ordered the country kid 1/2 order still only ate half of that, with a side of patty sausage and created a country Benny by staking my sausage and egg and pouring gravy over the top of biscuit. My husband ordered their breakfast brisket special, and it was so tender and juice great flavor. We ordered a slice of german chocolate cake to go, and its a very large portion enough for 2-3 people to share, I love that. We got there at 9:20 just as it was clearing out from the breakfast rush, then at about 10am it started getting busy again. This was worth the drive, we live in post falls and are always looking for local restaurants wherever we drive to try. So I suggest you for a drive and enjoy the homemade goodness, classic dinner food. Visited again 10-7-23. My son ordered the chicken fried steak, and it was a bit dry, not much flavor. But very large. It's not our favorite dish here.

There isn't much to say! FANTASTIC!!! Our waitresses were "spot on" with the 5 star service. The skillets were fresh....eggs Benedict good, burgers, so good! The Huckleberry pancake, larger than the dinner plate is AMAZING. don't leave without a BISCUIT. 0

Hubby took me here yesterday morning and I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was calm and peaceful with older kind smiling people sitting enjoying their meals, our server was sweet and very smiley too! Cute tiny new looking place!! I got the biggest fluffiest biscuits I ever did see even the couple tables turned to us and giggled how huge they were! The only thing is the biscuits were way too over cooked and stiff on the bottom and both gravy and biscuits were lacking flavor. The mimosas were great and my husband's eggs Benedict was perfect though! Definitely will be back when passing through next time!

I've driven by this cafe so many times always mental noting that I should stop in. I finally had time this last trip and it did not disappoint. It was so much food! And so good! My daughters hot chocolate and her biscuit stole the show.

Went to the View today for the first time after passing it by many times!! It was awesome!!! The waitress Trinity, was amazing! She’s friendly, attentive and very personable!! The food was great too! Went out out comfort zone and tried the Jalapeño Popper Burger and my friend had the cheesesteak! We both ordered the garlic, parmesan fries! Super yummy! Can’t wait to go back!!!! Portions are good size, enough to share but also good to take home leftovers! Next time I need to leave room for dessert, they looked decadent!!!!

Great food and service. Very clean restaurant with a fantastic view of the mountains.

Great place for Brunch. The wife and I called in on the way home. Nice and clean on the inside, bright as well. The server was great, always seemed to have the coffee pot in her hand. We ordered the Chili Omelette and the Brisket Benedict. Both were decent sized servings. Thank you

Biggest biscuits and gravy. Great speedy service. Waitresses were very kind. Not a long wait to be seated during peaking hours on a Sunday. Clean and sanitized tables and bathrooms.

You can't go wrong at The View Cafe. The food is great and the portions are giant! The service staff is very friendly. Be prepared to wait a little, if you visit on the weekend. Can't beat the price, especially in these 'Bidenonimics' times. Well worth stopping in.

The best breakfast I've had in, I cannot recall how long! Without a doubt the best service I've received from any venue let alone a diner in years!

The View Cafe is getting ☆☆☆☆☆.... yes! wow.... the Woods Chicken Fried Steak holy mackerel! That's some serious stuff Wood. Its large and in charge for sure, I got the gravy on the side and dunked that bad boy! Home Fries muwah. Caroline(yn) was a very sweet and friendly server made me feel comfortable. Sat right at the bar top and definitely a locals but blue collar type place. If you're passing through Cocolalla, Idaho please make this a stop from 8am-2pm Breakfast and Lunch (11am). Had leftovers for dinner.

Very clean restaurant, busy, excellent service. Our eggs were cooked to perfection. More than we could eat. Highly recommend it. Also easy access from the highway.

Prompt service, amazing service, super friendly owners and excellent cook(s) Wow! The food was yummy! Homemade biscuits and gravy. The bacon is so good! Everything was delicious 😋 cozy atmosphere with beautiful view! A must go!

This place is great! We are vegetarian and had the Terriburg veggie burger and it was excellent. The fries are hand cut and delicious. Service was awesome and the owners are amazing! The views are great too! Will definitely be back.

First visit here on 5/6/21. Very welcoming and bright. The server was awesome, and the food was delicious. Tried their HALF order of biscuits & gravy w/eggs and potatoes. It was still very generously portioned with a large, fluffy biscuit, perfectly made eggs and potatoes, and didn't skimp on the delicious gravy!

On the drive between Coeur D'Alene and Sandpoint, The View Cafe has amazing breakfast, showstopper cakes and pies and a view of lake Cocallalla. There is also a little free library in the parking lot in case you want to share a book.

Very impressed with menu. Specials use brisket in eggs benedict. Omelettes are large and the bisquit with sausage side is almost a meal in itself. Lunches look very good but haven't tried yet.

We did a 180deg turn in the car after seeing this charming looking place. Glad we did. Great food (too much to finish for us)—and lovely staff.

This place is, in my opinion, the best breakfast joint in the area. Just 15min south of Sandpoint it's worth the drive. If you like large portions of great American food this is the place.

We stopped for breakfast on our way home . Food was great except the biscuit too much and not tasty . Out waitress Trinity was excellant loved our service and friendliness .
