O'Carroll's

I heard about this place from a co-worker and decided to drive 200 miles to try this place out. Definitely worth the drive and weather. The burger was well worth it. The meat to bun ratio was spot on. The patty was the perfect blend of meat to fat. Juicy but not so much that can cause the bun to go soggy or run down your arms to ruin your shirt.

The fries are something else, hand made. Not like steak fries, and not limmpy ones like "In & Out," but a nice 8th inch slice. Perfectly deep fried golden brown with a nice crisp. Only real down side to me is, not enough salt. But in their defense, my blood pressure isn't high enough. Thinking of a heart attack at 45.

O'Carrol's is a wonderful, rustic restaurant with excellent food! We loved the covered front porch for lunch. The Basque sausage sandwich and onion rings were all great! The nicest people work here, they even gave my dog a treat!

Great burgers and cold beer after exploring Lamoille Canyon. Also had a Ruby Dipper that was delicious. Friendly and attentive service. We will definitely be back.

Stopped over in Elko, NV on our way to Yellowstone and a local lady we met recommended O’Carroll’s. What a cute local joint. Our waitress Danielle was so cute and such a delight! The food was so good! We had Piccadilly for the first time and loved them. They’re similar to tater tots but lighter, so good! I had a Basque Chorizo dog and my husband had fish and chips (Piccadilly). Both were excellent. If ever near Elko, Spring Creek or Lamoille you should go to O’Carroll’s.

This was a complete off the beaten path surprise. It actually was toooo busy. Who would think that a little cabin bar and grill at the foot of the Ruby Mountains would be so busy...during lunch?!? Because of the food!! It was so fantastically good! Our poor waitress could barely keep up. She was the only one there serving. So she just kept her head down, never stopped moving, and barely smiled but who could blame her? There was a Help Wanted sign, so if you're looking for a job you may be fed very, very well.

We ordered takeout on St Patrick's day.... spectacular and very traditional Irish corned beef and cabbage. Very nicely put together and ready when she said it would be. Some of our party had burgers and sandwiches that were also very nicely done... it's the little things like the sides and the burger toppings that were really nice.

We love grabbing breakfast lunch or dinner here...
O'Carroll's is our go to for a good meal, close to our house. 🤗

Great place to kick back with the locals. Only thing weird was you got ranch with mozzarella sticks instead of marinara. They may have had it, but server was busy .I didn't want to bother her

Amazing little restaurant off the beaten path. The burger I had for lunch was phenomenal, I recommend adding the roasted garlic to your sandwich. The staff was great and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

I have a terrible habit of jumping in the car and heading out to place for a hike with little to no research. These things tend to have some great outcomes because I end up stumbling hidden gems such as this spot!

I pulled up to the bar restaurant and was immediately greeted by one of the regular's awesome dog! After a 7 hr drive, I was ready for a beer and a bite. The bartender was very polite, welcoming, and treated me like I was a regular. My basic needs in any business situation is good customer service and they delivered!

Some good brews, excellent food selection, and a no rush atmosphere. I ended up returning the next evening after my hike because I liked the vibes so much!

When into this little town just to see what it was like said down had some I had a mushroom burger was probably the best mushroom burger I've ever had the waitress was great it was just really neat little place it was like walking back into time it was guys at the bar a little tipsy they had rodeo stuff on the TV it was just great I'll go back the next time I'm there

I love this place. Located right next to the canyon in a quite little town. Good food and an awesome deck to sit outside and eat or even a bar inside. Good food as well, the cheeseburgers and jalapeño wraps are my favorite

First time here. Got a burger and it was perfect! I usually don't finish my food but I couldn't help myself. Definitely be back.

Great food @ decent prices. Good family atmosphere and excellent service from friendly owner and family. One of my few regular places in the area. Try the roast beef w green chilies or the Ribeye sandwich. Soups are excellent as well. We haven't had a bad meal.

Awesome people and a great beef and green Chile burger on sourdough with thin sliced steak fries. Warm people that make you feel at home. Wish I had one like this back home in Arizona.

The BEST!!! Love their ice tea, chili cheeseburger (best hamburger in the west!) & yummy onion rings!! Old school service with a smile! Thank you for a wonderful lunch! Worth the drive!!
