My grandmother unfortunately picked up a ransomware Trojan last week. She was distraught about missing Bible study classes and a bit panicked about how she would order meds, groceries, and oxygen. I live several states away and needed someone local to make a housecall.

John picked up her computer, restored it, and returned it within a day, on a holiday weekend to boot. I'm deeply grateful that he responded promptly, explained things clearly, and didn't pressure either of us when I respectfully declined some suggested upgrades. John was very helpful! My laptop stopped working and he picked it up that day and called me the next day. We talked through options and my husband and I decided to go with a desktop. Computer got hacked on the last weekend of April 2024, my Bank First Community in Mountain Home said I should call John with Mountain Home Computer Repair. On a Sunday April 28th I called John and he actually answered his phone, and relieved my fears, and picked up the Asus Desktop computer on Monday afternoon, and it was returned to me unbelievably the next day on Tuesday afternoon, running faster than it has ever run. I got hacked in Mountain Home on my Chromebook, I called my bank and they shut down my account. My daughter in Omaha Nebraska -- Googled Computer Repair places in Mountain Home, she called the 3 places listed, and chose John w/ Mountain Home Computer Repair, because he answered his phone, made us feel comfortable, we got the machine to him within a couple hours the same day at his drop off location at Mountain Motors the Napa Car Care Center on Hwy 5, John picked it up the same day, and returned it to our home the next day (May 1, 2024), and walked us though setting back up the machine, and our printer, and helped us with getting back online and into our financial accounts. My mouse stopped working on my all in one Lenovo, here in the jordan area just past whispering woods. Just had back surgery, I needed someone to physically come over take my machine and fix it. I called on Friday morning, John cam over. Disconnected my machine, and repaired it and returned it on Monday __ super fast service, I highly recommend.

Great, and very prompt. Serviced my machine faster than I had expected. John restored my hard drive and came to my home and helped me set up my computer for the web. I had many online presences because I would forget my user names and passwords. I also had two different FaceBook accounts. He helped me wade through the morass of names, passwords, etc., and establish one presence online, deleting the others. He is a nice, intelligent, man and I would recommend his services to anyone who steps over their own toes online, making their life more difficult than it needs to be.

Very congenial. Easy to talk to. Did good work. Fast response. Setup my new computer incorrectly, and locked myself out. Called John, he answered right away, and was able to squeeze us in to his schedule, as he was in town and able to visit our home in less than 1 hour and got us up and running.

I've been looking for computer help for 1 year since 2022, everyone I contacted like Brooke Jeffrey was not willing to help me my job was too small. I went to the Computer Doctor he is now dead, and he wasn't able to help me-- while he was alive. I needed help with scanning my family heirlooms to archive into my computer and sync with One Drive. John did a great job on our older computer, put a new hard drive in & checked it for me & all back in service in less then 24 hours from time I contacted him.

We weren't able to connect our new printer. We called John and he was able to come on the same day, which is usually unheard of! He connected the printer to two computers and they worked great. Last week, the power went out at our house. When electricity came back on, my Dell XPS i7 desktop computer was not working and I tried troubleshooting it myself which ended up badly ... He spent 2 days of data recovery scanning and 8 hours of data recovery; John rebuilt the PC and installed a new SSD drive, reinstalled Windows and put all my data back to my original locations.
