Akira Japanese Steakhouse

I seriously can't find a better spider roll no matter where I go! When I come back to Indiana, I always have to stop by! The food is amazing and really well priced for hibachi. But seriously, get the spider roll! Not only does it taste amazing, but heck, the presentation is incredible! I'm so disappointed elsewhere when it comes out like any other roll. I love the fun they have with it here! The presentation of their dragon rolls and volcano roll are pretty great too.

Went there for a birthday dinner, 5 adults and w children. Food was excellent along with the service. The young man who waited on us was awesome. I believe his name was Yancy. He made it a pleasure to eat there. Thanks Yancy!

Me and my girlfriend LOVE coming here and try to as much as we possibly can. Ignore all the bad reviews. We have been here at leaat 20 times. The service has ALWAYS been good. Sometimes they get slow but thats a given considering they have parties of 7+ people they are also serving. The food is always very fresh and the chefs make the experience amazing! I highly recommend trying Akira!

Very pricey. $103.00 not including tip for 2 people. Service and food was excellent thou. Went on a Sunday during lunch. Disappointed they didn't do the chef entertainment like onion volcano.

Food was amazing, wound up sitting by myself at the hibachi grill. The chef was in great spirits, talkative and thorough enjoyed by yours truly! I was sat and eating within 5 mins!!! 10/10

I had to give them 5 stars because it was myself with 2 friends and 2 women with an infant the only people in the restaurant and they gave us the 5 star treatment. The chef was amazing when he noticed the infant was scared he performed tricks to entertain her but it didn't work so he stopped in order to let the mom calm the infant, once done he continued but away from the infant. The server Lily was super fantastic awesome, she was so attentive we didn't have to ask for anything because she had it at the table before you could ask. The food was amazing so good that my leftovers were great the next day, pretty impressive for hibachi. Whenever I'm in Indianapolis I'll definitely be returning and I highly recommend and ask for Lily if you can.

Always a great time. The food is delicious, always. Hibachi is the way to go! Also the first place to serve me a sushi dish I thoroughly enjoyed; the golden dragon was AMAZING.
The service was impeccable, and our chef was entertaining and overall just excellent. We will certainly be back.

This will be my new go-to for Japanese hibachi grilled food.. upon entering, we were greater by a friendly hostess. Our beverage order was immediately taken. The chef entertained the young boy who was celebrating his bday with friends without ignoring my husband and were separate from his little party.
BUT THE FOOD. IT was EXCELLENT!. I ordered steak, and my husband had shrimp and chicken. The crab is never the same any place you order, but this was so good I said I would oder those for a take hime snack. The cream cheese filling was the best ever! I enjoy eating out, but this place is definitely not overrated! You get your money's worth of food complimented by a clean restaurant with great service.

The staff always treat us like family. The chefs put on a great show. The food is soooo delicious! We've been to other Japanese steakhouses around Marion county, but this one is our favorite!

The food is great, expertly prepared and the service is great as well. Keep in mind that it can be a longer meal and so don't be in a hurry. Enjoy the experience.

Amazing food, service, entertainment, and atmosphere! I've sampled bits and pieces of all the proteins for the teppanyaki and they're all cooked to near perfection. I reccommend the scallop sushi!!

Great food and great service! They did inform us they were short on cooks (which is fine with us because that's everywhere) The food was worth the wait! Our kids (age 4 and 7) got chicken tenders off the kids menu and loved it. We were all entertained by the cook! Definitely recommend ♥ OH make sure to ask for yum yum sauce if you want some. They filled the two saucers with another type of sauce (sorry not sure what they are called)

I’ve been going to this place for over a year now and every time I have the best experience. The food, the quick service, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant stand out the most.

After reading all the reviews I was expecting this place to not be that great with service, We went in and where quickly taken to our table with 0 wait time, the waitress was very attentive, she didn't let me cup go half empty the whole time we were there, the chef cooking was professional and clean, the food was awesome, the only complaint is it was very hot when we went in, but it's to be expected with how they cook and everything, all I did was take off my hoodie and problem solved, we will definitely be going back, it's an hour and a half drive but very worth it
