What a gem! First of all, Terri is a delightful, gracious innkeeper and was so accommodating of our ever-changing arrival time. The inn has been beautifully restored and is very comfortable with personal touches everywhere so one immediately feels at home. The bed in the Estate Room is awesome, and we love having a ceiling fan over the bed! The attached bathroom is huge, offering both a clawfoot tub and spacious shower, and the sink is cleverly fitted into a Victorian dresser. It really is like walking into a spa. Oh, and let's not forget breakfast! Terri is a talented cook, and served up a lovely breakfast; the morning we were there, it was eggs, bacon, and blueberry pancakes, along with tea, coffee, orange juice, and an assortment of homemade jams as well as syrup for the pancakes. We spent much of the morning talking with her and another couple who were also guests. We're already looking for opportunities to return to the area so we can stay here again in the near future. Thanks, Terri, for a lovely stay!

My daughter and I stayed there 3 nights. Yummy breakfasts every morning (French toast, blueberry pancakes, homemade sweet rolls and fresh fruit.) Not a coffee drinker myself, but heard other guests oohing and awing over the selections.
Would definitely stay there again! Terri was a charming and friendly hostess. And made us feel at home.

My husband and I spent one night in the Cottage Room. The B&B is conveniently located near all of the quilt shops in Hamilton. It is clean, cozy and comfortable. Terri is the consummate hostess. She serves a delicious homemade breakfast. We had French toast, hash browns, bacon and fresh strawberries. There is a coffee bar with a Keurig for those who love coffee. The home is a combination of old world charm and modern conveniences. We will return.

Very nice older home. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The house was nicely decorated. Ample parking on sight. Short walk to the downtown area. My wife had fun checking out all the quilting shops downtown. I enjoyed the local brewery! Enjoyed our stay.

This is a great B & B. The distance from the KC Metro area is just right. The home is decorated in the motif of the area which is a quilters heaven. Hamilton is famous for its quilts and the stores that cater to that pastime. I didnt know that Hamilton was the boyhood home of JC Penny and he has done so much for the town. The B & B is a beautiful old home that has been modernized to accommodate 3 spacious bedrooms and all are uniquely decorated. We stayed in the garden room which was wonderful. We woke Saturday morning to a continental breakfast of cinnamon rolls, boiled eggs, and coffee or juice. We explored Hamilton, which is a quilters dream world. Then we went to Jamesport which is not terribly far away and spent the day returning to the B & B that evening. We had the whole house to our selves and it was so quiet. You could hear the thunderstorms roll by but the best was hearing the rain on the roof. We woke up to the smell of bacon and came down to a wonderful breakfast of French Toast, Bacon, Hashbrowns, a fruit cup, and assorted beverages. The best part was Terri the owner sat and visited with us while we ate. She is such a sweet lady. I highly recommend this B & B for those that want to get away but not spend a lot of time getting there. The town is quaint and people are very friendly. I hope to be able to return to this B & B with another couple that is are friends to share in this wonderful time. I highly recommend this B & B to all who want to just get away and have a fun relaxed time. Thank You Terri for a wonderful experience.

Beautiful historic home. Perfect location for a quilt safari in Hamilton. Plenty of privacy and quiet. The breakfast was to die for. We had homemade blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, OJ, and coffee. Can't imagine Hamilton has a better place.

A charming, stately old home. Beautifully appointed with lovely updated bathrooms and very comfortable beds. I stayed there with a friend in November 2023 and would definitely repeat this choice whenever I might find myself back in Hamilton. Terrific homemade breakfast too! And it's just a brief walk to the quilt shops.

We had a great overnight stay. The home is a cozy place located in a quiet neighborhood in this lovely two block town with one blinking red stop light. Breakfast was wonderful food served up by Terri who shares with you the history of the town and the explosion of the quit shops. You can walk to all the Missouri Star Quilt stores. If you are going to spend a day shopping lay your head at Shoal Creek B & B for a refreshing rest.

Reallly enjoyed our 2 night stay here at Shoal Creek B&B. Terri served a traditional breakfast each morning and joined my wife and I for conversation. Location is only a few blocks from MSQ stores. If your staying in Hamilton, you should stay at Shoal Creek B&B!

A wonderful B&B! Terry, our hostess was most gracious, a great cook and had her home perfectly prepared for our arrival and stay. We felt welcomed and very comfortable. Perfect bed, it was very comfortable, new clean carpet, and totally remodeled bathroom. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.

This is a beautiful, historic home that has been well-maintained right down to the original parquet floors. The bathrooms are new and modern with ceramic tile and excellent water pressure. The room was comfy and cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and knitting during our stay. The home is about three blocks from the main Missouri Star Welcome building. Very walkable. The breakfasts were scrumptious.

We had a lovely stay at Shoal Creek! Charming home with clean, spacious, well decorated rooms and a very comfortable bed. Also within walking distance to center of town. It’s clear that Terri (owner) has put a lot of time and effort into creating a fabulous bed & breakfast experience for her guests. She also makes a delicious breakfast — ham, blueberry pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit!
We will 100% stay here again on our next visit in the area.

Like many people, I was looking for a place to stay in Hamilton, near enough the shops. I booked at Shoal Creek Bed and Breakfast and was not disappointed.. I met with a friendly welcome from Terri, and was taken up to a clean and spacious room.
Guests are free to use the downstairs lounge and dining area, and sit on the porch. There is water in the downstairs fridge and coffee and tea to provide comfort after a long day of shopping. The breakfast is served by Terri at a communal table, where she also sits and chats with guests. That was a lovely touch.
Shoal Creek B&B is well situated, just a few minutes’ walk from the MSQC stores. All in all, a memorable experience.

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely bed and breakfast. The room and house is beautiful, the bed is comfortable and the hostess is the "most-est"! Breakfast was great and there is coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, soda and snacks available at any time. I would stay here again any time. :) It's within walking distance of the downtown area so that's really convenient. Although, parking downtown wasn't hard to find so if you plan on shopping those quilt shops, just take your car.

This is a great place to stay! First the website to book the days you want is very easy and for a good price, second it is in a quiet neighborhood so not lots of traffic or noises. and also the house is big and very comfy with the style of the early 1900's which is great. The owner and caretaker Ms. Terri was fantastic! She cooked us traditional American breakfast with fresh blue berry pancakes and sausages with melon and coffee and orange juice. The next day we had French Toast and bacon, super yummy! What is great about the place is that kids are usually not allowed to stay or animals so peace and quiet is guaranteed! Also there are security locks on all doors so security is good. If you are staying in Hamilton for any reason or near by I strongly recommend the Shoal Creek Bed & Breakfast.
