Family owned. The service is just amazing! Really great prices and the food is wonderful. Talk about hospitality. They thanked us so much for coming in and getting food. This is a must stop place if you're near here! Don't miss it!

I'm a truck driver and happened to stumble across this place by coincidence while driving through the backwoods of Missouri, I seen them out of the corner of my eye & made the quick decision to stop in for lunch & now I can honestly say the only disappointing part of my experience there is knowing I live 1,000 miles away & might not be able to come back someday, it's by far some of the best if not the best BBQ I've ever had and I highly recommend it to anyone with the opportunity to swing by, the service was excellent and I look forward to coming back if given the opportunity

This place is the real deal! Great BBQ! We had the special and it was a lot of food and all wonderful! Brisket, pulled pork, ribs and turkey were all cooked perfectly. The beans and coleslaw were good also. All around an A+!. The owner and staff were very courteous and friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in Hamilton!

Great service to match the great food! Will definitely be back! Delicious fall off the bone ribs and the best Coleslaw and Baked Bean's I have ever tasted and I have had many people in my life tell me their bake beans are number 1 in there county or city and none tasted as good to me as theirs does! Same goes for the coleslaw. I know I probably shouldn't brag on these two items but I find most places either have good beans or good coleslaw but never both. The BBQ was excellent and so were the sides is what I'm trying to say. The owner and his sons are too notch in my book! I can't wait to go back!

A great place to drop in for a quick BBQ or carryout. The ribs were very tasty! The turkey had a great smoke flavor. Only 2 sides available, baked beans or coleslaw. Seating is limited, but there are outside tables as well. I will definitely be going again!

We stopped here on a Saturday evening during our visit to Missouri Star Quilt Company. The owners were on site and were very nice and friendly. Two of us ordered the 2 rib dinner, one us us ordered the brisket sandwich and the other ordered the pulled pork sandwich. We all ordered dinners which included beans and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! The ribs cut with a fork and the meat was piled high on the sandwiches. Because the owner thought our ribs were short on meat, he brought us out 4 more ribs! Needless to say, we devoured them as well. The building is small, but there are seats inside as well as out. The smoker is at the side of the building, so everything is fresh. The brewery down the street has Hanks and Tanks offerings in their menu and they will deliver there, as well. Don't pass up a chance to stop at this great place.

Fantastically delicious dinner consisting of a smoked turkey breast sandwich with sides of beans and coleslaw. Moist and flavorful Turkey breast piled on on a roll/bun. Top 3 I've ever had. Beans were best I've ever had👍👍. Coleslaw was good too. Family run business with owner making sure your meal was top notch. I am a new and soon to be loyal customer. Would recommend to anyone.😁

Best BBQ I have ever eaten!! The turkey was fantastic and the baked beans were superb.

My family and I flew and drove 3,890 miles to get to Hank and Tank's BBQ. We were not disappointed and tried everything on the menu. The ribs, pulled pork, pork loin, turkey, brisket, slaw, beans and cold Dr. Pepper were absolutely phenomenal. I lived in Missouri for 20 years and worked in a few BBQ joints and these places don't even come close to this venue on top of their exceptional customer service. I left MO and entered the Naval Service for 30 years and traveled the United States and overseas and when I came back after retirement, this exceptional BBQ business was strategically placed and setup in Hamilton. I wish this family-owned business the best success...bottom line, you have to try the best BBQ business in MO!

Absolutely delicious food!! Had pulled pork with coleslaw and baked beans and the beans were so good!! Great and fast service! Good portion sizes. Also everything single thing there is gluten free except for the buns. Big plus there!!!

EXCELLENT smoked meat! Sweet and savory sides. GREAT people with OUTSTANDING service ethic. We ordered a to-go brisket sandwich from the tip and discovered it was from the flat when we got to our room. Before we knew it, without a word from us, there was a knock on our door, an apology for their error, and a corrected sandwich!? Unsolicited, they had discovered their error and tracked us down to correct it!! These are high quality folks with high quality products at a very fair price!!!

Awesome food. Their barbecued pulled pork sandwich was so good we decided to come back the next day where we had the barbecued pork ribs and the barbecue brisket. Baked beans were out of this world and the coleslaw was delicious. Very friendly owners and Pops.

Great family-run restaurant. Their ribs are as good as the best out there. My favorite is their smoked Turkey breast, and I love their bbq beans! Prices are what you would expect for good Q. They are definitely worth the drive!

I had the meal at Missouri Star quilt retreat catered by Hank and Tank. The flavours in the beans and the smoked meat were very impressive. Many layers, heat and smoke without one overtaking the other. I went down to the actual restaurant to ask my many questions and Hank showed me his smokers, had me taste the turkey, instructed me on how to cook a pork loin and gave me a container of his secret spice rub. Very flavourful without being heavy on the salt. I highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near the area. He is very proud of his business and rightly so. Check the hours it is worth the wait.

This was one of two places we visited on Friday, and they could not be more different. Hank and Tank's BBQ was efficient, friendly and delicious! The BBQ chef greeted the customers and asked about their meals. Our service was great and proactive to ensure we had everything we needed! Definitely recommend a visit when you're in Hamilton, MO.

I've eaten at all the popular BBQ places in Kansas City, none of them have ribs, turkey or pulled pork as good as Hank and Tank's. Not even close! And you won't find a nicer family who enjoys watching and talking with people enjoying their menu. They also have very good beans and coleslaw. You gotta try this BBQ!

On this day, we had travelled all around Missouri and were headed back to Kansas, when we happened upon Hank and Tank's BBQ in Hamilton, MO (Which also looks like a pretty beautiful town to visit too!).

I've tried a lot of barbecue from the south, from Texas up through Kansas, so we know a thing or two about what makes the grade or not, and Hank and Tank's is AAA! We tried the Turkey and Pulled Pork sandwiches, as well as a half rack of ribs. Everything was perfectly cooked, tender and amazingly tasty.

The restaurant appears to be a converted gas station and the wood fired barbecue smokers are outside grilling, so you know you're getting fresh and delicious food. As well as this, the owners are incredibly friendly and take the time to say hello and have a chat with all of their customers (without being overbearing).

I hope we get the chance to go back and visit, but if you're on the road and want to try something different (and fantastic) and get away from the chain restaurants, you will not be disappointed!

Worth the drive no matter how far it is! Owners luel Sr and Jr (Hank) are amazing! They were so personable and made sure your visit was perfect! Extremely friendly, made you feel like you were dining with family!

You gotta get the baked beans! Unlike anything you ever had, Amazing!

Excellent everything! Best BBQ I've had- I'm normally a pulled pork person, no matter what, but Hank and Tank make me want to expand my horizons. We were a party of four and had pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and turkey between us. It was all sooooo good. Brisket was moist and delicious, ribs were fall off the bone, hands down best ever, and turkey was seasoned perfectly. After my husband finished his 1/2 slab, I was picking the scraps not wanting to leave any behind! Family-owned and operated. They truly care about ensuring your visit there is enjoyable. You order at the front when you arrive - dinners come with 2 sides: beans and coleslaw. Food is served shortly after. So good.

Fantastic food. Dad and two brothers run the place and they do a great job. As others have said, fast and efficient and delicious. Portions are great! The type of place you dream about finding.
You can sit outside or there is a small inside seating area. Highly recommend if you are coming through town. Go on through past the fabric stores and it's on the right. Happy eating.
