Sunset Oceanfront Lodging

Been vacationing in Oregon for a week and out of the 3 hotels stayed at this one was my favorite! We stayed in the Oceanfront Duplex (417) with our dog and could not have been happier. If I would have known how awesome this town was and this hotel is I would have stayed here the whole week! Yes, the room is outdated. But the pine ceiling and brick fireplace brings this rustic vibe… it’s like having a cabin over looking the ocean. And the beds have been the most comfortable out of the other hotels too! Lastly, check in and check out was an absolute breeze. We had the pleasure of meeting Sam, who I just wanted to go hang out with the rest of the trip. He was a very knowledgeable super cool cat running the front desk, and not only did he give us info for our room, he also gave us local info like where to get the best fudge. Thanks for being so welcoming Sam, you made my birthday!!

Such an AMAZING stay! The room was clean and well kept. All the appliances worked, when they say partial Ocean view you are able to hear the waves and see the ocean in the distance. Still very close to the ocean though. They have a small to go breakfast in the morning, (bagel, cereal, oatmeal, fruit and juice) Pet friendly (with a fee) very friendly staff. The pool was warm and the hot tub hot.

I had a great experience here which made our trip to Bandon very enjoyable. The check in staff was very friendly. The room had a great view. It looked like not all rooms have good views, so its worth making sure when you book you get a good one.

Such a nice quiet weekend. The views are stunning and the staff was awesome. The gentleman that works at night ,I believe Sam was a great guy and explained the area and the amenities of The hotel to us and was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The pool and hot tub were great. I would totally recommend to stay here. We will be back again.

Nice Older but well kept place. Comfortable bed. Cozy. love the little wooden shutter in the bathroom for air. Friendly staff. Very safe and scenic neighborhood. Great location next to possibly the coolest beach on the west coast (cable Blanco south of here is also amazing).

Great Location, we were not On the Ocean, but it was right there nonetheless. Their website needs a real refresh, for the place is better than it appears online. Impeccable service. Friendly Employees. Next Time, we rent one of the rooms that IS on the Ocean....

Loved our stay here. There are several wings, some a little back from the beach and dated and some right on the beach and upgraded (Vern Brown rooms). We stayed in the new area. Beautiful coast view from our balcony. We slept with the balcony door open to hear the waves all night. One of my favorite stops on our 14 day CA/OR coast trip.

This was a great location! We had AMAZING VIEWS. The moon was shining bright, and lit up the entire ocean. My only complaint was that we had two queen beds, and one bed was very comfortable but the other was quite hard and not easy to sleep on.

Great view of the ocean. Rooms were clean. Close to town. Heater didn't work but maintenance got right on it

The view from our room was magical! The moon was brightly shining into our room and actually woke us up from the brightness. It was incredible. One bed was not as comfortable as the other. That is my only complaint.

I hesitate to write glowing reviews of places that are both excellent and reasonably priced since, if they become more popular then they will likely raise their rates, but this place is an unexpected gem in the rough. It does not provide what one might expect from a 5-star establishment, but rather it is understated and unpretentious. The staff is helpful, friendly and accommodating, the rooms are comfortable and more than adequately supplied, the rates are reasonable and the views are absolutely unbelievable. Our room was right on the ocean, with a large window and a sliding glass door overlooking one of the most spectacularly beautiful beaches in the world. The coffee they supplied for us to make in our room was from a local, Bandon, roaster and it was actually very good - a first in my experience!

I stay here every chance I get. Run by the same family for over 70 years, the rooms are always clean and the staff is lovely. The location cannot be beat.

This was a nice, affordable, clean place to stay with incredible views of the ocean and easy access the beach. The staff was friendly, the room was clean - just a very comfortable place to stay.

Not sure what makes it a 2 star hotel rating. This places is more like a 3 or 3.5. Hot tub was amazing and the pool was great to swim laps. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfy. My bf would toss and turn and I barely felt him move. I would definitely recommend and we will be staying here again if we ever come to the Bandon area again.

Beds were comfortable. Reasonably priced. Very large clean rooms. I loved the fireplace, really added a cozy feel to the room. Balcony with the view of the ocean we nice as well. Pool and hot tub were open, we had them to ourselves both times we used them.
Only negatives the doors were a bit tricky to unlock and their breakfast comes in a bag and consists of a water, orange, muffin and granola bar

Rooms aren't bad, bathroom setup is odd/cramped. Beautiful space. Quiet area. Worth it.

I have stayed here numerous times. My first time I got an older room, and I was not impressed at all, then a friend told me about the Vern Brown rooms, and I have never looked back. These rooms are so amazing. There's nothing better than waking up to the sound of the ocean. Since my fiancé had his accident and is now in a wheelchair, we can never seem to find a king size ADA room for the VB rooms, so that is a shame. The one ADA room we stayed at in the VB addition was a two queen, the shower wasn't roll in, it has a lip and wasn't quite right so he couldn't shower there, but all in all we made it work and had the most relaxing stay. The gentleman working the front desk was so helpful and kind. The pool is nice. Easy access to the beach, no ADA access though, so keep that in mind. This is by far our favorite place to stay in Bandon!
