More like a resort than a typical summer camp! Great activities: swing, sip line, pool, slides etc. but the real show-stopper was the landscaping. Beautiful flowers and foilage wherever you walked and the mountainous scape that surrounded the premises. It was a joy just to be on the grounds.
Also, new dining hall is massive and well designed.

I ONLY OUT FIVE STARS TO BE AT THE TOP

This has to be one of the worst camps I’ve been to, and I had only been there TWO days. When we got there we could walk around the camp, I was walking alone when there’s two girls walked pasted me looking at me saying, “Ew.” To my face! As a black girl I was shocked, because I was not expecting them to say that to me and be RASICT. One white kid was harassing this asian kid, always rocking his chair to hard almost making him fall off and following him around, and touching his shoulders and hair. People told him to stop, and every time he did it he would shrug his shoulders and walk away, which pissed me off so much. One time we were playing a game in the club room, and one of my black friends were called up there, you had to get a bat from some guy in the crowd. So she tried not to step on people and she said they PUSHED her around. She ended up crying, and having to talk to her counselor. The same night, I was walking to my cabin when I saw a huge crowd of people surrounding boys cabin. So I went over to check it out, and this black girl was cursing out this white boy and trying to punch him. I asked someone what happened, and they said, “That white kid said the n-word!” As a black girl, I don’t think another race, ESPECIALLY WHITE PEOPLE say the n-word, don’t matter if you “got the pass” or not. You have no right to say it. Period. Anyways, it was broken up by a counselor, and the guy got it trouble.

I rate this camp a 0/10. The food was good, and the games were okay. Plus, I love the part when they talk about God. But if you want to go here, or want your kid to go here. You don’t want to go. Let me just say this, the white kids are going to only walk to the white kids and the people of color are only going to talk to the people of color. That’s just the way things go.

Beautiful spot nestled in NC mountains. Perfect retreat center for high schoolers or adult groups. A variety of activities are available including challenge course, giant swing, zip lines into lake, horseback riding, court sports, hiking or just sitting and taking in all the beauty. Caring staff, great food (family style) and a variety of accommodations. Operated by Young Life.

Literally best week of my life. Zip line, pool, diving board, high jump, mountain biking, nas-carts, the slippery, and the whole 9 yards. Best summer camp.

This was my first visit. My wife told me about windy gap for years. We went as Young Life Adult guests. The environment is perfect for worship and fellowship. The activities are so great for middle and high school kids... and those that are young at heart. A special experience

I attended Windy Gap as a camper in high school and have attended as an adult guest to visit my son as a Young Life leader, on work crew and on summer staff! Absolutely the best camp and weekend of my life as a camper and returning as an adult, I was still moved and wanted to stay! I love all of it but Club makes the whole thing so wonderful and fun! Truly, it is an amazing experience! I wish all high school kids could have the chance to spend time here!

I love Windy Gap with all my heart. The camp is beautiful and the staff are superior. I rode the horses, the go carts, and the tight lines. I played basketball, volleyball, and frisbee golf for the first time of my life. I swam in the pools and the lakes. I will never for get the mountain hike up in the mountains we took. I had so much fun every year I went. I also love the late night camp fires and sing offs. The food was the best, all you can eat every day 3 meals. I can write over a thousand paragraphs about the amazing experience I got from Windy Gap and staffs. I have told everyone I know about this place. If you never went to Windy Gap, try it out you can not go wrong or have a bad experience. I feel they made a better person out of me... “TRUST ME - MY WORD ON THIS!!!” Special thanks to Mr. Mark Races and his family for giving me a Windy Gap Life Experience...

The best place ever!! At first I thought the trip would be boring but I was surprised how easily it was for the camp to turn fun and joyful. I learned new things that never even crossed my mind. I met old and new people that made the camp ten times better. The view itself was enjoyable. Not only was the activities and free time fun the worships were a blast too. There so more I can say about the trip but one more thing before I leave. You must join it might change your life😋.

I went to Windy Gap in 1992 and I can honestly say it was one of the best weeks of my life. Plan on sending my kids so they can share the experience of a lifetime and develop a lasting relationship with Christ. Thanks for all the fond memories.

Many, many moons ago I came to Windy Gap as a camper for a week. A year later I returned as a volunteer for a month. It's truly a life changing atmosphere. The setting is absolutely beautiful. God has His hands on this place.

Windy Gap is the best adventure camp I have ever experienced! Everything is super professional and impeccably managed. The staff is always friendly and helpful, like all Young Life properties, but Windy Gap's location and amount of property to utilize and explore are second to none!

I've volunteered working to do community service for 2 years at this camp and it is phenomenal. The facilities are great, pool, hot tub, game room, gym, slides and lake, zip line, the list goes on. The staff is what really puts the camp over the top and they are incredible and very personable and you can tell how nuch they care about the Lord through their actions. I would highly recommend tgis camp for kids or college students looking to volunteer.

I absolutely Love Windy Gap!! It is by far my Favorite YoungLife Camp to date. The things that happen here are amazing. It’s a quite little piece of Heaven. I also loved arriving and hated leaving. But every time I leave. I leave refreshed and renewed.
