Not going to lie, when I signed up for this class I thought 16 hours was an insane amount of time and I was going to be bored out of my mind! I was NOT. The instructors were so much fun, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, even after the course was done. If you’re thinking about getting your CCL or renewing definitely go to Up N Arms!

When I signed up for the class I thought that I was going to be bored to death. I must say that this class exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed this class and I learned a lot. Ms. Shivers teaches the class in way that makes it very easy for you to understand the content. If you are thinking about taking a conceal carry class please take hers. You won’t be disappointed.

I attended class for my CCL renewal. Great classroom setup. Frances was very nice and on point with the course information. Overall this was a great experience.

The class was very educational and love the fact the instructors took time to answer questions without making you feel uneducated. The simulated shooting in class definitely prepared me for the actual range.

Did the 4 day 4 hour class, class was great and very informative. Lots of target practice before going to the range, any and all questions answered and explained in depth and even with real life situations as examples. Watched defensive videos/traffic stops and went over all of the do/not to do, the legality of situations as a CCL holder and more. Spent 1 hour in the range and instructor assisted with constructive criticism on myself and my classmate’s shot and how to improve from the POV she was seeing. Would highly recommend this class to anyone (I have never shot a gun myself and with her instruction, I did not miss the target sheet at all). Thank you Frances I loved your class and will recommend it to all of my family/friends that are interested in becoming a CCL holder. Happy holidays 😁

This was a great course! The instructors of this CCL class were very knowledgeable. They also provide assistance with services pertaining to your license etc. after the class is over. Check them out!

I really enjoyed taking the concealed carry classes with Francis Shivers. She was patient with me she explained in detail she gave demonstration and scenarios and broke it all the way down so you can really understand the laws and how to use a firearm. Taking this class was great and I am so glad that I had Francis as my instructor. I give her two thumbs up👍🏼👍🏼

Just completed 16hrs for CCL, the class was engaging and informative. The instructors were down to earth and provided knowledge and life experiences to assist w processing. They were convenient in location and very compassion about what they do. Black women teaching was wonderful. Thank you Franscis and Devi.

Wonderful learning experience! Very knowledgeable and received much more than I expected. From day one the Instructors were considered and taught at a level that was individualized for each attending. They eased my anxiety and made it comfortable to ask questions. I give Up N Arms 5 stars will highly recommend and price appropriate.

Very professional! Ms. Frances and Ms. Devi are awesome. Very patient and well trained for teaching firearm safety. Very thorough with techniques for stances, control, sights, and distances.

My experience was WONDERFUL! Taking the class with Ms. Frances Shivers was so informative! She’s very helpful and thorough through the whole process. Ms. Shivers is very knowledgeable, and confident in what she does! We had a lot of entertaining moments that helped me become comfortable in the class. My experience taking this firearms class was very educational. For those of you who do not understand the purpose of conceal carry, firearms and how to use it, this class is perfect for you. Not only was the class fun and interesting, the two instructors have a compassionate and welcoming spirit. the overall class will help you understand and feel comfortable while learning. There is no way you can leave the class without learning and feeling more comfortable carrying a firearm. The two instructors will also make sure all of your questions are answered before the duration of each day. Up N Arms gets a thumbs up and my full recommendation.

Hi! I enjoyed the CCL two-day class on Saturday and Sunday for 16 hours and was very please with their teaching style of making you understand, innerstand and overstand the various laws & basic firearms training. I recommend Up N Arms LLC CCL.

Got my conceal carry certification, environment was extremely friendly. My instructor Frances Shivers was the best, very clear in explanation of all gun safety, great teacher made me feel very comfortable around all weapons. Once I decided to take the course the instructor Frances Shivers assisted me with getting my
F. O. I. D. Card. The class was very detailed and informative. The instructor went over the pertinent information many times until we had it memorized and was comfortable. She is awesome, smart and organized. It’s definitely a hands on class with the instructor right by your side explaining and assisting. I would highly recommend taking her class. She will work with you to obtain your
F. O. I. D. card and your Conceal Carry License from the beginning to the end. GREAT JOB!!!
