The Shooters Shop

I was visiting Milwaukee for a few days from the UK and wanted to do a bit of handgun shooting so I searched online and The Shooters Shop looked to be very good and just 15 minutes from my hotel.
I arrived mid morning and the guys were really welcoming and we had a good chat.
Matt explained the use of their indoor shooting range and the cost to hire a gun, ear defenders and eye protection. They had a great choice of guns for hire including semi autos, revolvers and some assault rifles and carbines. I chose a Glock 17 9mm and a Smith & Wesson .38 snub nose revolver. Matt recommended the correct ammunition for both and I bought 50 rounds of each. As a non-resident I just had to show my driver’s license and complete a form. Everything was done very efficiently and the staff clearly take safety very seriously.

As I’ve used handguns many times before, I was able to take my targets and equipment down to the range and begin shooting. The range was easy to use and targets are sent out and recovered with a switch. It was great fun and felt very safe and well organised.
There was only one other shooter on the range at the time so we had plenty of room. Sadly, it was all over too quickly and I was soon back upstairs to return everything to Matt.
As it’s legal to carry a concealed handgun in Wisconsin following a clear background and ID check, there were several customers in the shop having their applications made.
As all handguns over .22 calibre are banned in the UK, I only get the opportunity to shoot like this when visiting the USA and it’s great that there’s shops like this that are only too happy to show you their selection of equipment and answer any questions you have.

Ammunition isn’t cheap these days but for someone from the UK that can’t do this anywhere else, I reckon it was $150 well spent!

Purchased my first handgun here. I was greeted as soon as entering. They asked what I was looking for, and my primary use for it. Due to having weak wrists and fingers. They were able to find me the perfect fit. Set me up with a comfortable holster. Had 4 gentlemen waiting on me and answering all my questions. Showed my family of hunters my purchase and they said the gun shop did a great job picking out a powerful weapon with a soft recoil. Can’t wait to go back.

Guys are very friendly and informative. Bought a mag loader and he showed me how to use it. Me and my friends definitely prefer this range over others.

Great place & Great people very knowledgeable on the firearms they are selling. i am a new gun owner and i take my 9 year old son in with me from time to time to use the range and we are always greeted and treated with respect and great customer service. and big thanks to Micheal for your professionalism and kindness. you are the man!

Man where to start. I walked in and right away had help. Wade and the other guy (didn't get his name, tall guy) asked what I needed and had so many recommendations. Found what I wanted right away. Wade was very knowledgeable and showed me so many guns that I had questions about, and was just the best when it came to service. Literally one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I think I found my main gun store. Their selection is amazing, everyone is nice, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I recommend coming here for all you 2A needs.

I purchased a couple of guns from the shooters shop. I also received my concealed carry permit from classes I took at this location. Very pleased with the management, Scott & Monica are wonderful. As well as the employees. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable. If you're looking to purchase a gun & looking for some instruction, this is the best place to go in Southeast Wisconsin. They also have a great shooting range in the basement. Even if you're not looking to use the range, it's a great place to spend an afternoon.

The staff here are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. They also have a wide variety of firearms you can purchase and/or rent to shoot in there convenient shooting range. I would recommend this store to anyone that is looking to purchase a firearm, has any questions, and/or, just wants to use their range.

Used them for an FFL transfer. They answer the phone and seem fine. Also cooperated promptly with my online dealer. Will update after the transfer. Most negative reviews state they are expensive and people have buyer's remorse. Prices are not a surprise and how many gun shops let you return ammo or firearms for ANY reason, let alone because you found it cheaper. Quick update, they charge 100 for a handgun transfer. Yikes....should have looked this up earlier! That is on me....

Bought my very first firearm today. I was nervous and didn’t know what I wanted. The owner gave me recommendations and let me hold a few and paired me with what felt comfortable. I think this is a great place for first time buyers. I’ll be recommending them and I’ll definitely be back myself. And the guy I did paperwork with was awesome too!!!

Been coming here since 2006 using the range buying accessories. I always had a great experience here.. Never had any issues what do ever now me and the guys come up here every other week to shoot and talk with the people that work here .. Cant see my self anywhere else.

These guys are very knowledgeable about guns and safety. Friendly atmosphere. Scott and Stephen really cool. The whole crew has a good vibe. Will be back and will bring more customers. Thanks again guys!

The Shooters Shop has to be the best gun shop in the State of Wisconsin. It has by far the largest selection of guns I have ever seen. The employees are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They can help you find the perfect gun that best fits your needs. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I purchased my first gun from The Shooters Shop a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier with the process. Scott, Matt, Salim, Wade and Mark are awesome employees and l felt completely welcomed in the store.

Just got the sidearm I always wanted. They had it in stock, brand new! Everyone else is sold out. They were great! Professional and respectful. They pay more to get their inventory, so I get it. I will pay a little more too. That is why they have any guns in stock. They also pay a premium for their stock.
BUT, I got what I wanted during this weird time. I was willing to pay more. Give them a chance, they are in the same boat we are in. It's a weird market right now.
