Langley Post Office

Happy to write 5 star all the way. Got a notice that my package was delivered to my home. It was not. Talked with my mail person and he remembered seeing the package. He told me he would double check. He did and asked me to call the Langley office with my tracking number. I did. They were super kind on the phone, helpful, and I learned some things. They have 4 different places to check tracking numbers due to all the different packages they now carry. Christine tracked my package, found that it had been delivered. She then GEO tracked it. The geo tracking told her that the truck had dropped it off at a home whose address was 1 digit different than mine. She told me I could check with my neighbor and if I did not get good results, the post office would handle it. Happily, my neighbor returned my package to the post office and my mail person redelivered it to my home. Above and beyond for an address mix up and I learned about geo tracking.

I've been to Langley Post Office many times and always receive cheerful, friendly and efficient service. One star less than five because mail delivery is patchy, but I know that's because the employees are overworked and understaffed.

I think they need to drug test daily here!! Been living here for 6 months and I’ve NEVER had so much trouble receiving mail. My mail is CONSISTENTLY put in my neighbors mailbox despite my house number on my mailbox. UPS, FEDEX and Amazon don’t seem to have any trouble reading an address and putting the correct pieces of mail in the correct mail box. Is this job really that difficult?? No, I don’t think so. I’d write them a letter about how I really feel but I don’t trust them to deliver their own mail to themselves. Maybe I’ll send it from Oak Harbor. The people in the office are nice enough and when I went in to complain, the man behind the counter was clearly aware of just how incompetent his delivery people are. They are complete and total garbage. Get a PO Box anywhere eles.

worthless service, especially the weekends. seems postal workers refuse to tackle bumps in the road and even when they insist we BUY a new box to satisfy their massive problems doing their jobs, they re fuse to DELIVER IT. Worthless.

I agree with what others have said here. I have never experienced such a lack of integrity or care from any other post office. My carrier never leaves slips when a package can’t be delivered, so I basically have to intuit (and watch for online notifications) for when I need to go to the post office,,, or sometimes I’ll get a delivery notification when it has not been delivered. A few weeks ago a carrier literally threw a package of mine over my fence instead of leaving it at the gate. I would really love to be able to trust my post office again but the Langley folks are making it difficult.

It's only Langley post office that is terrible. Never have had any problems with Clinton and Freeland post office's. Twice they have given my packages to the wrong person.

The worst post office I've ever dealt with hands down and have experienced all that people have shared. Packages run smoothly through the postal service till they hit Langley and get delayed for weeks at times. When I attempted to go personally pick them up I'm told there is nothing they can do. Absolutely horrible customer service and they act like you owe them.

This review is not about the post office in general. It's about deliveries. Time and time again I get told that "delivery was attempted" when it absolutely has not been. Just happened literally ten minutes ago and I was sitting outside on my front porch when the delivery was "attempted" don't lie. This is ridiculous. And while I'm at it, a friend of ours was visiting and had shipped something to our address with his name on it and they wouldn't deliver it because it didn't have our names on it, they sent it back, even when we went to pick it up. Even though they leave other people's random mail in our box still that no longer live here.

Just terrible, either someone who works there is stealing packages, throwing them out or is grossly incompetent. Never in my life have so many packages regularly been lost, destroyed or miss delivered. This has been going on for years and seems to be of no concern to whomever is in charge at this office. Shame!

Twice in the past one week, I have received "Attempted to deliver" for my Amazon packages. Like others say, it is a lie. It seems there are too many Amazon packages for them to manage so they just keep them at the P.O. for a very inconvenient pickup. My carrier said for one package it was too dark in the truck to find it. I have to go in the P.O. today for the other. I wish Amazon would stop sending USPS because they don't do their job. And furthermore, the USPS staff (and management) could care less.

Multiple packages weren’t delivered and then when I went to the post office to pick them up and the lady told me she didn’t have time to look for my package. Um. What?? I made time out of my day to get my package that should have been delivered and the government employee that I waited in a long time to see didn’t have time to provide the service she’s there to perform? wow.

I've received two boxes that have been opened and emptied and post office guy won't call me back or see me when I'm there to discuss it with him. Very frustrating. Also nobody EVER answers a phone there.

If I were even half as responsible, timely, helpful and caring as this facility..

I'd probably be fired and subsequently sued for negligence.

Cannot reach anyone in office. Package left in driveway. Mail left at wrong address.

What a bad joke. Lol
