Okoboji Dough Company

Did well catering to our party of 9 with 3 young kids. Was not super busy, but food/drinks were a bit slow. Pizza was delicious and good beer selection.

My one actual complaint was my beer glass, I ordered a "summer jam" beer and it came in a cocktail glass. I asked the server if it was a mistake, she said no, they were trained to give this beer in a small glass. It's not a high abv beer (4.2%), so the only reason for this glass was a cost saving measure. That's dumb, raise the price and serve it in a pint glass that you expect with a beer. Food was good, but the beer glass situation was sheepish and left a sour taste in my mouth

Popped in here for dinner last night and was blown away by how good their pizza is! We showed up with a party 15 and sat right down(I am assuming we had good timing lol) waitress was very attentive and had our drinks to us within minutes. Even being a packed house our made from scratch pizzas were on our tables with very minimal wait time. We had the Royal, the Hot Italian, the Buffalo chicken, 3 pepperonis, fried pickles, and garlic knots. Every last bit of it was scrumptious! 10/10 will be back!!

Delicious pizza! Everyone in our party of 10 enjoyed the appetizers and pizza. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was clean. I enjoyed all of the creative pizza choices. The Khachapuri appetizers was amazing. I have never had anything like that before. I highly recommend this nice restaurant.

We got to the restaurant at 7:50, not knowing they were closing at 8. We said we would come back another time. They insisted we stay, even though they were getting ready to close. The pizza was amazing. the staff was so kind. Service was great. Give this place a try. wood-fired BBQ sauce with brisket and bacon. Yum!

What a great find! The staff here are wonderful and friendly. I ordered a bacon bleu pizza using the toast app which was very convenient. You can't beat 18 bucks for a 12-in artisan Pizza! They have so many wonderful looking specialty pizzas. I think every time I visit lake okoboji I will stop in and try different one each time!

Delicious pizza and you have to get the garlic knots. We did a mushroom pizza and a half pep half Canadian bacon. Will definitely be back.

I ate there with a group and we had a delightful experience. The establishment is clean and inviting, the staff was great, filling pitchers of water for our tables instead of waiting for us to ask for refills. We ordered build your own pizzas and the crust was excellent. In addition I ordered a salad. The greens were fresh and crisp and all of the flavors went well together. I highly recommend this place for a date or for a meal with your family.

Best pizza I’ve ever had fair prices and good service. 5 star

The place got slammed with customers just after we got seated. The hardworking staff was able to take orders and get them out efficiently even though they were inundated trying to get tables cleaned and ready for new groups. I was impressed with the service.

The food was amazing as well. We had the fried ravioli appetizer, some barbecue wings and we chose the "Make your own" pizza option. Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner despite the staffing challenges.

We will definitely be back!

Ummmmmmmm.... Incredible..... Its all I can say I. I had to roll the dice on what specialty pizza to order. Caprese is (current tense I'm eating as I type) incredeble. Don't skip this place I promise it doesn't disappoint.

WOW what a difference a year has made! Our family had the pleasure to experience the Dough Company in August 2022 (review below). We made sure to make plans for supper on our next Okoboji trip, July 2023. The pizza is even better than remembered, "FUN GUY" and Caprese will be ordered again! in 2022 we were alone in the restaurant, on our 2023 visit the place was packed. A remodel of the interior has brought the Charm that was missing before, and the service was very good. Okoboji Dough Company will be a MUST stop meal for our family on every trip to the area!

Aug 2022 - GREAT Taste! Good Service. Unique Pizza Combinations. Atmosphere lacks the usual "Okoboji" charm. Food is WORTH the stop!

Excellent food, nice service, and some very unique pizza options. We sat outside and had the homemade fried pickles as an appetizer, with the Crab Rangoon pizza and the You Know You Wanna (chorizo, Brussels sprouts, caramelized onion, etc) pizza for dinner. All highly recommended. Their pizza crust is just the right combination of chewy, bubbly, and crisp with a little stone fired char on the edges- perfect!

Great crispy fried pickles, cold beer on tap served in cold glasses, and awesome oven fired pizzas. The hot honey on the Parma pizza was one of my favorites!

The pizza is always excellent here. I have to give it to the cooks in the back for their hard work. Other than that the waitresses don’t seem to do
much. Tips should be going to the cooks. We needed a pizza place like this in town. Delicious food

Pizza was a 10/10. The crust is amazing and even the Bloody Mary was made perfectly. They only have 1 TV so don’t go there thinking it’s a sports bar but enjoy the great food!

I went there to buy raw pizza dough for our new pizza oven. The staff was great! Didn't get the pizza from there this time but it looked great.

Great pizza options, good dough. Short people don't like high top tables though. Would come back.

We stopped here for appetizers while we were on our vacation back in July. Met the owners and couldn’t have met more friendly people, talked some football and got our cheese sticks and fried olives to go. Both had me begging my wife to go back and get more. These were not your run of the mill frozen cheese sticks. These were gigantic sized logs of whole milk mozzarella hand breaded and fried and I still think about this little pizza place in okoboji that I can’t wait to go back to lol.

Ordered some pizzas and apps for takeout. Everything was ready on time. The pizza was cooked very well. The crust had a nice crunch and chew to it. Would happily eat here again.

The pizza was great, many choices to create your favorite toppings. The place was clean, help was above and beyond friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this as a very good place to eat and enjoy.
