Challenging course. Definitely has that championship course feel. Was in great condition. This is in my top 3 of nicest courses played now.

No one was there when I went out except 1 group behind me. Felt like I had the course to myself. I was told they are just opening for the season though.

What a beautiful golf course! As a year rounder I’m embarrassed it took me so long to k it here. After an abundance of rain the course was in its best shape of the year (said the starter). So we’ll keep and I felt hugged by the mountains from hole #1 onward. We played cart paths only but it was a most memorable round this summer. Love the large rocks being kept on their majestic place on many holes. You must come play here!

Being from Texas, we don't get a lot of mountain golf.
On a quick summer trip to Boston, I stole away for a day and drove to Green Mountain for a round. With rented clubs, I played a decent round of golf. The hardest part of the round was all the stunning views and the amazing weather I couldn't get enough of. The course is a really cool layout and was in great condition. I don't get up north very often, but if I'm ever close enough again, I will make time to get back for another round of golf!!

This is an absolutely amazing golf course! Beautifully maintained and the most polite and considerate grounds crew!! This track can be tricky and the helpful hints on their website were definitely utilized!!! Must play! We will be back!

I had pretty high expectations for this course and they were easily exceeded. Every hole was impressive and the maintenance was impeccable. Any employee i spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. Quickly became one of my favorite courses

Played 2 rounds on 6/17 first day of an annual golf trip for 12 guys. This was the first time we played this course and we were not disappointed. Course was in fantastic shape, greens were perfect and staff was fantastic. Not a thing I can remember to complain about.

Most underrated golf course I have ever played at. Best in the region. Exceptional scenery and flora as you play. Challenging, well maintained bunkers, and plays long. Friendly staff, well-selected pro shop with high quality apparel, and wonderful bar/restaurant.

5 star plus course. Beautiful lush Green Mountains location, with plenty of terrain, water, and bunkers. Played on a Wednesday, light traffic. Whites slope 128, 5787 yards, reds (women) 126, 4740, but hazards and terrain make many holes a scenic challenge. Rates good at $92/ea.greens & fairways in good shape. We had great club sandwiches and shrimp taco in the grill, also a cart girl on course, a great day, heat wave in New England, but shade and fun course!

Great course and staff. The staff at the front desk, the Starters and kitchen staff were all very professional and courteous. We played 7 or 8 rounds last July and was never disappointed in the condition of the course and all of its challenges. We will definitely return next this year.

A truly phenomenal course! Playable , but tricky , recommend you hit it straight lol lots of great holes w easier par 3s and a number of tough par 4s!! Fairways were like Augusta they were so perfect! Keep it in play and you can score!

Wonderful course and very friendly people. The landscapes and gardens make this a great experience. Far from the golf “fields” you see in other areas. Each hole is sculpted, visually enticing and unique. Don’t miss the chance to play here.

Absolutely beautiful course (plays short and tight - be prepared to lose a few balls in the woods), with the best egg sandwiches at any golf course I've ever played. That said, the new management is NOT friendly, which is too bad for a town that has a great reputation for friendly people.

Another gorgeous course in Vermont. Well kept with ACTUAL SAND in the bunkers.

A little challenging, but isnt that the point? The staff and starter were extremely friendly. The starter talked to us for about 5 minutes about the course and how to play a hole or 2 a certain way to score well.

Just be careful when looking for balls by the ponds.

While vacationing at a family reunion in Chittenden, I was hoping to get a tee time mid-week at GMNGC. Unfortunately they had a four day AJGA event going on, so I was only able to get a late afternoon tee time with my wife and two daughters. Someone had said "the front nine is great, the back nine is even more challenging".
We played the front nine and then drove the back nine, stopping to play the par 3's and the 18th.
In my 50+ years of playing golf in a number of great locations, this course is in the top 3 - ever! Beautifully designed individual holes with awesome visuals as you approach each green. They also conveniently placed large bunkers directly in front of many greens. :-)
The greens are fast and faceted. Coming from Michigan, the northern Michigan golf scene at Treetops is the epitome of scenic golf. This blew them away. I loved the way that the rocks and boulders were incorporated into the design. Just an awesome course, and one that I would make a trip to play again - on a fall day with blue skies and the maples in color. There could not be a better place to be.
Just to confirm that it truly is an exceptional course, the next day we played Killington. It was nice, the views were great, but Green Mountain is a whole 'nother level. It's not long, just gorgeous.

I rarely review anything on Google unless it greatly impressed me, or disappointed me, and this review is no exception.

I'm not a terribly experienced golfer but this course blew my father and I away. I've never seen a golf course in this fine of a condition. The tee boxes are all perfectly even, the fairways were exceptional, and the greens are in prime condition. Just jaw-droppingly good. Also, it's worth noting the views on this course of Killington, VT. Vermont truly is a remarkable state and this course proves it with every hole.

This course is SUPER challenging and be ready for some tough putting. I found the front nine to be hard but the back nine was even harder! We would practically kiss the ball with our putters and the damn thing would roll a mile long! Wicked fun golf!

My only critique of this course is the bar inside the clubhouse. With such an excellent course, I was expecting to walk in to a incredible bar and this is where my expectations fell short. This bar… is a bar. Chips and snacks are piled up on a table in the corner, some draft beers are on tap and the menu includes all the bar favorites, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and nachos. While I'm not complaining, I would have expected this club house to have an extensive menu selection with a much more classy look/feel. However, we came here to golf. Not to eat lunch and order steaks.

Overall, this was a 5 star golfing experience. I will be coming back (and I hope to take some strokes off my game). Come and spend the money to play golf at a course that makes you feel like your a pro.
